Kusum says that she wants Adit to come in front of her once so that she can make him face her wrath. She says that her son left them, and she wants him to come at least once, but he did not come even once in the last five years. Ishana says that her dad should not come now or ever. Mangal asks Ishana not to speak that way. Ishana says she is speaking the truth and leaves. Kusum asks why Ishana spoke like that and says she is feeling bad vibes. Mangal asks Kusum not to take Ishana seriously and consoles her.
Mangal goes to Ishana and confronts her about her behavior downstairs. Ishana says that her dad is dead and that she wants to tell everyone the truth. Mangal says that if she tells the truth to her grandparents and anything happens to them, Ishana will be responsible. Ishana says that Mangal is responsible for her father’s death. Mangal asks her to remember what happened in the past. Five years ago, the inspector called Mangal and said that they could not find Adit’s body and that it was difficult for him to survive, so she should consider him dead. When Mangal tried to tell Kusum about Adit, Kusum suffered a major heart stroke.
Mangal says that without knowing the complete truth, her dadi suffered a heart stroke, and her dad died in an accident, so Ishana should stop blaming her. Ishana asks how long they can hide the truth and says that one day dadi will find out. She says that Adit was wrong to back out of marrying Mangal, but he might have been living happily somewhere. She accuses Mangal of scolding him and says her words caused the accident, making her responsible for his death. Ishana leaves. Mangal breaks down, wondering if she is truly responsible and why her daughter hates her.
While leaving, Ishana collides with Shubhi. Shubhi asks where she is going, but Ishana tells her to mind her own business and leaves. Shubhi thinks that something must have happened between Mangal chachi and Ishana. Gayatri asks Kusum not to cry and says that her son Adit is alive, unlike her own son Karthik. Kusum asks Gayatri never to speak that way and says she wants her son to live during her lifetime. She says she misses her son, but at the same time, she cannot forgive Adit for leaving them in their old age.
Mangal prays to Mata Rani in tears. Shubhi pretends to fall down. Mangal rushes to help her and feels better after helping Shubhi.
Kusum asks Shubhi if she prepared the dish she had asked for. Mangal says it is prepared and serves them. Kusum asks where Ishana is. Shubhi says Ishana left for college. Gayatri asks Mangal if Ishana left because of a fight. Mangal pretends that everything is fine between them.
Mangal receives calls from her manager but does not attend them. She then receives a message and is shocked after reading it. Gayatri comments that Mangal does not have time for them. Kusum permits Mangal to leave for work, saying she can see from Mangal’s face that her presence at the office is needed. Mangal thanks her and leaves. Gayatri asks Kusum why she allowed Mangal to go. Kusum says it was necessary and that Mangal is doing well by balancing home and work.
At college, the students want to bunk the guest lecture and go to a movie, but Ishana does not agree and says she will stay in college. They leave. The principal asks Ishana to welcome and felicitate the guest lecturer who is coming that day. Ishana agrees.
Mangal and the manager check the storage room and see that the power supply has been cut and grocery items have been spoiled by rats. The manager says they have suffered a huge loss. Mangal says they had done pest control and wonders how so many rats entered the room. She says she knows who is behind this conspiracy.
