The episode starts with Deepa waiting at the bus stop. Karthik approaches her, and Deepa asks what he is doing there. Karthik tries to explain that he was just passing by, but Deepa asks if he is following her. Karthik insists he was truly just passing by. Deepa then asks who told him she was there, and Karthik admits that Bhagyasree informed him.
Karthik asks Deepa if she is going to the village, and she says yes. Karthik asks Deepa to come with him, offering to drive her. He explains that she cannot go by bus or auto because there is a public transport strike today. Karthik mentions he heard from Sonali that Deepa needs to get her birth certificate as early as tomorrow. Deepa asks how he knows Sonali and if he was the one who took her case to her. She asks why he hadn’t told her, and Karthik asks if she would have accepted Sonali’s help if he had told her the truth. Deepa says no and criticizes Karthik.
Karthik asks Deepa why she has such a problem taking his help. Deepa reminds Karthik that he committed a crime and is the reason for her father’s death. She tells him she is only talking to him now because he gave blood to Jyoti. Deepa warns him that if he thinks he can make up for his sins by giving blood, he is mistaken. She tells him that, to her, he will always be the criminal who killed her father, which is why she refuses his help. Karthik tells Deepa that since he listened to her, she now needs to listen to him. He tries to explain that the car which hit Krishna did not belong to him. Deepa does not believe him and walks away.
In the Kothari house, Kanika asks Jyoti where Deepa is. Jyoti says Deepa has gone to the village and then leaves. Chitralekha comes to Kanika and says it doesn’t matter why Deepa went to the village, but rather who she went with. Kanika asks what she means. Chitralekha points out that since there is a public transport strike, someone must have offered Deepa a lift, and that person is likely Karthik. Kanika gets upset. Chitralekha instigates Kanika against Deepa, telling her to act before it is too late. Kanika leaves and goes to the outhouse where Deepa is staying, thinking to herself that she would do anything for Karthik.
Deepa cannot find any public transport to get to the village. She sees a beggar asking for food, buys a plate of idlis, and gives them to him. Karthik also gives food to the beggar at the same time. The beggar thanks both of them. Karthik tells Deepa that fate keeps bringing them together. He explains again that he is not responsible for her father’s death and that his car was not the one that hit Krishna. Deepa reminds Karthik that she saw him there. Karthik admits she saw him but maintains the car wasn’t his. He suggests she go to the police station to check the records to find the truth. Deepa still does not believe him. Karthik reminds her she needs the birth certificate by tomorrow and says he will wait in the car for five minutes; if she can accept his help, she should get in. Karthik then leaves.
Kanika creates a scene at Deepa’s place. She tells Bhagyasree that she will throw Deepa out of the house, accusing her of trying to steal her fiancé, Karthik. Bhagyasree defends Deepa, saying she isn’t that kind of woman, and criticizes Kanika. Chitralekha snaps at Bhagyasree for pointing out Kanika’s mistakes to justify Deepa. Kailashnath arrives and confronts Chitralekha. He explains to Kanika that Deepa is fighting her husband for Jyoti’s custody and that there is nothing wrong with Karthik helping her. He tells Kanika not to worry and to trust Karthik.
Karthik waits for Deepa in the car. Deepa prays to the Goddess to show her the way.
Precap: Karthik and Deepa arrive at her house in the village. Finding the door locked, Karthik jumps over the roof to get inside. In the process, he accidentally drops a chain he found when Deepa saved him as a child, but he doesn’t notice. He opens the door from the inside. Deepa enters and finds a locket left to her by Krishna, who had called it Sumitra’s last memento. Meanwhile, Karthik finds something shocking in the house.
Our take:- Deepa’s desperate fight for her daughter’s custody forces her into a fragile alliance with Karthik, testing whether her need for justice outweighs her deep-seated resentment.
