The episode starts with Ratan complaining Sejal about Devadi’s behavior towards Anandi. Sejal tells her not to argue with Devadi as she doesn’t want her in-laws to be insulted at her home. Ratan feels upset. Anandi takes cares of the earthen lamp but feels hungry. Jigar and Kalpesh tease Anandi by eating jalebis infront of her. They praise jalebis are very delicious but Anandi cannot eat. Anandi thinks she can eat one when no one is seeing, but then thinks goddess is witnessing everything so she should not eat.
Sejal comes and scolds Jigar and Kalpesh for teasing Anandi when she is hungry since morning. Sejal tells Anandi to inform her if something happens again. Ratan also comes there with Khimji to see Anandi and again sees Devadi taunting Anandi and talking rudely to her. Ratan gets angry and wants to go to argue with her but Khimji stops her. Anandi asks Sejal if she can eat a small jalebi but she denies. Devadi says that she should stay hungry and will get fruits in evening. She asks Sejal to come with her to prepare prasad.
Anandi cries due to hunger while Ratan tells Khimji she doesn’t want to eat. Khimji tells her to eat as she has to become strength of Anandi and cannot get weak like this. Ratan tells once when she had done this puja she suffered so much, how will Anandi fulfil it. Anandi talks to goddess idol and Devadi looks at her secretly. When Anandi leaves the earthen lamp and goes somewhere, Devadi quietly extinguishes it. Sejal and Premji tells Baa not to stress herself in all the rituals. Devadi suddenly shouts and gathers everyone. She tells that Anandi is not there.
Sejal says however the lamp is still lighting. Devadi gets shocked to see that. Ratan looks so from far away. Devadi wonders how did the lamp light up again. Later Anandi does the rituals and feeds everyone prasad. Baa praises Anandi for doing all the rituals well. Anandi gets hungry due to smell of food. Devadi says she will give her reward. Anandi thinks she will get to eat laddoo but Devadi only gives her a glass of water. Anandi drinks it and says her teacher had said even water can fill up stomach.
During night time all ladies do garba and then a man arrives. Devadi and Sejal take his blessings. Devadi says now he will fulfill their prayer ritual. He goes and sits infront of idol and then ties chunri on forehead. Anandi asks why is he wearing girl’s chunri. Ratan tells her to see and now goddess will come in his body. He starts acting possessed by goddess and tells puja is incomplete and there was some mistake. He says both Anandi and Sejal need to fast whole night and grind moong and then make porridge with it to offer it as prasad. Anandi gets shocked and asks if she has to stay without eating whole night. The episode ends with everyone being worried.
