The episode starts with Anand seeing the decorations for Diwali at Premji’s house and get impressed. He thinks it will look more beautiful once its completed. He goes to Anandi and asks her how he can help. Jigar looks on. Anandi asks him to fill oil in earthen lamps. Anand gets a call from his father and tells him he took the best decision by letting him stay there. He asks Anand if she won’t go to her own home for Diwali and then insists of asking her about her family.
Jigar gets annoyed and thinks why Anand is asking so many questions. Anandi tells about her mother, father and Kalpesh. She tells Khimji doesn’t speak much but always make sure to make her feel loved and Ratan often scolds her when she dirties her clothes but later makes Lapshi to pacify her. She even goes on to tell about Dhingli. Sejal gets teary eyed and hopes emotionally Anandi should not tell him something which she not have to. Devadi finds her husband’s wallet on bed and takes out money from it. Lakha Kumar comes and asks her why is she stealing at her own home.
Devali says she wants to deposit money to be used for Kanku’s marriage. Kanku and Anandi who were passing by overhear their conversation. Kanku feels hurt and cries thinking about her marriage. Anand comes there and tries to cheer up her by giving her chocolate. Then he cracks a joke which finally makes Kanku smile. He says Anandi doesn’t find him funny and never smiles. He cracks another joke and Anandi slightly smiles. She says she smiles because he made Kanku cheer up. Kanku starts coughing and Anandi rushes to bring water for her.
Anand thinks Anandi always take care of everyone and he needs to make her smile. In hall Kanku and Anandi upsetly do their own works. Maadi Baa tries to make them smile but fails. Anand comes and does a funny dance which finally makes Anandi burst into laughter and everyone gets teary eyed. Jigar feels insecure and thinks everyone is impressed by Anand and he should do something. Maadi Baa asks Anand if there is something that he cannot do. Jigar says about gilli danda and challenges Anand to play against him.
Anand says he is their guest and it won’t look good if he rejects. So he accepts the challenge. Maadi Baa thinks after long finally everyone is happy and tells all family members will play together. Later all of them get divided into two teams. Jigar team has Premji, Devadi, Kanku and Maadi Baa while Anand team has Anandi, Sejal and Lakha Kumar. They play together and Jigar takes it as a challenge to make Anand lose. He tells Anand if he didn’t understand the rules he can explain him again. Anand sportingly plays and the episode ends with their game continuing.
