The episode begins with Abhay telling Damodar that they are the same. Abhay says the only difference is that Damodar’s love is Gini, while his love is Anjali. Abhay adds that the land is very important to him, and if needed, he is ready to perform Gini’s kanyadaan. Hearing this, Damodar tells Abhay that he has bought the land for ₹100 crores and asks Abhay to bring ₹200 crores if he wants it. Abhay asks Damodar to swear on Gini, and Damodar does so. Abhay then leaves.
Gini questions Damodar about his actions and reminds him that Abhay will marry Anjali if he gets the land. Damodar tells Gini that he will kill Anjali and Abhay on their wedding day. He says Abhay will get neither the land nor Anjali and asks Gini if she is happy. Gini says she is. Damodar hands Gini a gun and asks her to kill Anjali. Gini agrees.
Ved and Aarti return to the Rajvanshi house. Sonal, Uday, and Pratap taunt Aarti, saying they heard she is getting a new father. Ved argues with them and asks his family to speak to Aarti with respect. Despite Uday and Pratap’s comments, Ved firmly states that Anjali has the right to live and salutes people like Abhay who want to give her a new life. He tells Aarti that through this marriage, Anjali will become a role model for women like her. Aarti says she will never forgive her mother and leaves. Ved follows Anjali.
Sonal, Uday, and Pratap decide to create misunderstandings between Abhay and Anjali so that the marriage never happens.
Anjali looks at Aman’s photograph when Padma comes to her. Anjali tells Padma that this new relationship feels like a burden she cannot carry. She says she will tell Abhay that she cannot go ahead with the marriage.
As Anjali opens the door, the Basti people arrive to thank her. They tell her that Abhay is reconstructing the Basti and giving it back to them because he loves her. They bless Anjali and leave. Padma tells Anjali that she has no choice but to accept the marriage.
Abhay calls Anjali and says he is arranging the money. He asks her to come home once. At that moment, Aarti arrives and asks Anjali whom she is talking to.
Aarti argues with Anjali, calling her characterless. Anjali asks Aarti to stay within her limits. Aarti questions whether Anjali is speaking as Aman’s wife or Abhay’s future wife. She declares that she will not allow the marriage to happen and says only Gini can stop it. As Aarti tries to leave, Ved stops her and brings her back to Anjali. He asks Aarti to see how tired Anjali is after fighting for women all her life. Ved questions whether Anjali doesn’t deserve a happy married life with Abhay. He clearly states that he supports Anjali and Abhay’s wedding. Aarti asks Ved what he would do if his own mother were in Anjali’s place. Ved shouts at her. Aarti responds angrily and repeats that she will never allow the marriage to happen.
