The episode begins with Chadda urging the Chairman to reveal the truth to everyone. The Chairman explains that Bhagyashree initially joined the company as single, but later submitted her marriage certificate. He clarifies that since Bhagyashree joined first, he hadn’t entered her husband’s name in the records.
Rishabh turns to Bhagyashree and says, “Didn’t I tell you to trust me?” Nitya scolds everyone for wasting their Sunday with an unnecessary meeting. As the meeting disperses, Padma tells Vinay that the issue has been resolved. Lajjo requests Padma to invite her the next time she makes South Indian food, and Padma agrees. Lajjo then praises Rishabh, calling him “one in a million,” and says Bhagyashree is lucky to have him. After she leaves, Padma asks Vinay if his doubts are cleared, and he agrees. Meanwhile, Sowmya decides to expose the evidence later.
Bhagyashree questions Rishabh about how he got the Bangkok trip photos of Chadda and his gang. Rishabh says he found them in the office room. Pramidh confides in Mukul, saying, “I’m married. If those photos are exposed, I’ll be in serious trouble. That’s why I did what Rishabh asked.” Bhagyashree also asks Rishabh how he arranged the marriage certificate. He reveals that Sunny managed it. Bhagyashree thanks Rishabh and adds, “Thanks to Sunny too, for bringing you into my life.”
She then teasingly asks, “You love him, don’t you?” Rishabh replies, “He’s my brother, so yes.” Bhagyashree, surprised, asks, “Brother?” and confronts him further. Rishabh clarifies, “I’m not like Sunny. I only like girls.” Bhagyashree is shocked to realize that Rishabh isn’t gay, as she had assumed. She asks him to leave the room and hands him a pillow and blanket. When Rishabh asks what mistake he made and how her parents might perceive him sleeping outside, Bhagyashree refuses to let him in. She tries calling Nitya to vent her frustration, but Nitya doesn’t answer.
Sowmya, observing everything, thinks Rishabh is smart. She worries that if he becomes Vinay’s favorite, their father might give the Chennai house to Bhagyashree. Just then, Karthik comes to Sowmya asking for acidity medicine and lets out a loud burp. Annoyed, she throws him out. Karthik meets Rishabh outside and asks if he’s also been kicked out. Rishabh agrees, saying he misses his bachelor life. They both settle down to sleep in the hall. Rishabh reflects, “I need to figure out why Bhagyashree is punishing me and what I did wrong.”
Meanwhile, Nitya tells Sonia that Rishabh was the perfect choice to act as Bhagyashree’s husband and that he handled the meeting well. Later, Nitya learns from the peon that Bhagyashree hasn’t come to the office and calls her. Bhagyashree, upset, answers and says, “Rishabh isn’t gay, like everyone thought.” She cuts the call after Padma calls her.
Padma asks Bhagyashree to select a saree and jewelry for Meenakshi’s wedding. Bhagyashree replies that she already has everything, but Padma insists new ones are needed. She also mentions that a tailor is needed to stitch clothes for Rishabh. Rishabh says his assistant Sunny will handle it.
Sowmya walks in and pretends to have seen their passports by accident. She questions why Bhagyashree hasn’t changed her surname and why their addresses are different. Vinay checks the passports and confronts Bhagyashree. He demands the truth. Just as Rishabh is about to speak, Bhagyashree stops him and says, “No more lies. I can’t lie anymore.” She is about to confess when the doorbell rings. Rishabh quickly collects the passports and shows them new ones, claiming, “These are the real ones. We’re leaving for a trip to America. What Sowmya found were old documents.” He adds, “I never wanted my wife to change her surname—she’ll always be Bhagyashree Iyer. Only our address has changed.”
Bhagyashree looks uncomfortable as he places a hand on her shoulder, and he quickly removes it. He continues, “Bhagyashree canceled the trip when she found out you all were visiting.” Padma apologizes. Rishabh adds, “She was so happy you were coming, but I didn’t know how to say it in words.”
Sowmya questions Rishabh about his bank passbook. He explains it’s an old one and that they now have a joint account. Padma asks Sowmya to let go of her doubts. Everyone retires to their rooms. Bhagyashree then confronts Rishabh and asks why he lied again. Rishabh replies, “I did it for your father’s health. Tell him the truth when he’s calm. I know how much you love him—you’ve been enduring this punishment for five years. Just make sure he doesn’t have to suffer when he finds out.”Just then, Padma enters.
