The episode begins with Rishabh bumping into Bhagyashree’s neighbours. They are instantly smitten by his charm and go gaga over him. He then proceeds to Bhagyashree’s flat, while Lajjo and her gang gossip that Rishabh might be Bhagyashree’s first love, as he’s visiting her personally.
When Rishabh meets Bhagyashree, he is left mesmerized by her appearance. He congratulates her on her promotion and curiously asks where she bought her bangles. Bhagyashree, assuming he might be of the “gay” type due to his interest in such things, casually tells him the shop location. She also shares the brand of shampoo she uses, recalling that he had once asked about it. Rishabh then takes her signature on some documents, still captivated by her presence. As he prepares to leave, she asks him to book a cab.
Bhagyashree arrives at the engagement venue, torn between emotions. She thinks to herself that she doesn’t want to disappoint her father again, but she also doesn’t want to continue lying to him. She meets Meenakshi’s father and inquires about her own father. He tells her it’s been years since he last saw her and that her parents are longing to meet her. Bhagyashree hands him a gift for Meenakshi. As she turns around, she spots her elder brother Anna’s wife, Anni. Anni questions her bluntly about not wearing her mangalsutra, reminding her that their father had suffered a heart attack after she left. Despite the doctor’s warnings, he had still come to see her. Anni scolds her for not dressing properly like a married woman.
Bhagyashree becomes emotional, wondering how to face her father. Childhood memories flash through her mind. She walks over to her father Vinay, who is coughing. As soon as she touches his hand, he becomes emotional and his coughing stops. She hugs him tightly. Vinay recalls the day Bhagyashree had left home, accusing him of not loving her. Though deeply emotional, he restrains himself from hugging her back. Padma arrives and warmly embraces Bhagyashree, asking how she has been. Bhagyashree’s brother also greets her. Padma then asks, “Where is your husband?”
At that moment, Rishabh enters the venue holding Bhagyashree’s earring. Vinay and Padma ask if her husband didn’t come. Bhagyashree struggles to respond. Meenakshi’s father questions Rishabh’s identity. Rishabh loudly calls out Bhagyashree’s name and signals that he is connected to her. Approaching her, he says he came to return her earring. Spotting Amma and Appa, he warmly greets them, adding that Bhagyashree had told him a lot about them and was excited and anxious to meet them. Padma refers to Rishabh as their son-in-law, and the family asks him to make Bhagyashree wear the earring.
Seeing her father, Bhagyashree decides to keep the truth hidden. She takes Rishabh aside and pleads with him to act as her husband. She offers to pay him, explaining that her father has a heart condition and she cannot tell him the truth right now. Rishabh agrees and gently helps her wear the earring. Later, he tells Padma that he’s happy to meet them after five years and now understands why Bhagyashree is so beautiful. He also tells Vinay that he’ll call him “Papa Ji” because he knows that Bhagyashree fondly calls him “Appa.”
Bhagyashree’s brother Karthik introduces himself to Rishabh, while Meenakshi comments on Rishabh’s good looks. Bhagyashree and Rishabh take blessings from her parents. Meenakshi then asks Bhagyashree to formally introduce her husband, and Rishabh smoothly introduces himself. Meanwhile, Bhagyashree feels guilty about lying to her family. She realizes she’ll need to lie even more to cover it up, and resolves to talk to her mother and confess the truth—that she is not actually married.
Bhagyashree takes Padma aside to talk, but before she can speak, Padma tells her how happy their father is to see her with her husband. She adds that his cough is due to the weather and that he felt much better after seeing Bhagyashree. A relative then asks Rishabh about his profession. Bhagyashree quickly covers, saying they work together at Tatva Company—he is a manager and she is the zonal head. The relative praises them and tells Vinay to be proud of how well-settled both are. Vinay instructs Karthik to seat Rishabh with the relatives, following tradition.
Bhagyashree later finds Rishabh sitting alone and warns him not to overact. Rishabh asks her to relax and walks away. Padma approaches Bhagyashree, praises Rishabh, and reminds her that she was about to say something earlier. Bhagyashree brushes it off and says it was nothing. She then asks about Shreyas and Revati, to which Padma replies that they are busy. Meanwhile, Rishabh continues charming everyone with his antics and wins their hearts.
