Colors TV’s popular show Dharam Patni is a love hate story of a simple sweet school teacher Pratiksha Parekh and a buisness tycoon Ravi Randhawa. How two different people of different social status and background will come together due to marriage and fall in love eventually will be interesting to watch.
In the previous episode, On Maha Shivaratri, the assistant pandit notifies Ravi and Pratiksha that they have the blessings of Shiva and Parvati, so no one can break up their jodi. Mandeep doubts his decision to have the incorrect jodi perform the puja.
She introduces Kavya as Ravi’s prospective spouse and Pratiksha as the black dot in their lives. Pandit states that Ravi and Pratiksha appeared to him as a married couple and compares them to Shiva and Parvati. Pratik and Parul are introduced to Hansa and Renu by Hansa.
According to Prakash, they chose Kinjal for their son Avinash. Pratik references Pratiksha. Renu and Prakash enquire who she is. Kinjal takes a stand for Pratiksha. The Chief Pandit is present. Kavya complains to him about Assistant pandit. Kinjal deems it destiny. As orphans, Pratiksha and Kinjal lack decorum, according to Mandeep.
Pratiksha weeps and departs the area. Ravi disappoints Mandeep by not standing up for her and Kavya. Pratiksha cries over her fate. Mandeep present the wedding invitation card to the Pandit for the ritual. The card is accidentally destroyed by him. Pandit deems this a bad omen. An elderly woman urges Pratiksha to be courageous and complete her tasks.
Hansa informs Renu and Prakash that Pratiksha is the daughter of a neighbour. Hansa lied about Pratiksha, so Pratik lashes out at her. Hansa claims that her deception was necessary for Kinjal’s prosperous future. She states that Pratiksha must be kept away from the wedding and Kinjal’s in-laws. Kavya removes Ravi’s Tilak using her dupatta.
In the upcoming episode, Kavya attempts to forcibly remove the tilak. Ravi attacks her for injuring him. He refers to it as God’s bounty and requests that she not associate it with Pratiksha.
Mandeep offers up prayers for Kavya and Ravi. Ravi and Kavya do arti, Kavya gets injured and steps back. Pratiksha advances and finishes the arti with Ravi.
