The episode starts with Vishwas telling Avantika that he has gone through Aarambhi’s reports and that she doesn’t have much time to live. Vishwas says that he won’t need to go through the divorce proceedings if Aarambhi dies. Avantika asks Vishwas if he wants Aarambhi to die. Vishwas tells Avantika that he has been trying to figure out a way to get Vihaan’s custody even after the divorce. He then confesses how much he hates Aarambhi and how deeply he loves Avantika.
Vishwas tells Aarambhi that he doesn’t need to do anything and that he just has to wait for her to die so that they can be together. Aarambhi overhears their entire conversation and is left shocked by the truth coming out of Vishwas’s mouth. As she steps back in shock, she accidentally hits a pot. Avantika looks around, sees no one, and feels relieved. Aarambhi is shown hiding from Vishwas and Avantika.
Avantika asks Vishwas if he has a backup plan in case Aarambhi doesn’t die. Vishwas replies that his backup plan is to divorce Aarambhi. He says that he stayed with Aarambhi all these years only to get Vihaan’s custody. Vishwas adds that Aarambhi has no value, that all their joint accounts are in his name, and that she has no career. He further says that it was impossible for him to get Vihaan’s custody when Vihaan was below seven years of age, but now it is easy. Vishwas asks Avantika what kind of court would give custody to a mother who is financially unstable and has no source of income.
Avantika says none of this would have happened if his family hadn’t forced him to marry Aarambhi. Vishwas explains that Dimple was worried that if Aarambhi started her medical practice, she would become a better doctor than him, so they made him marry her. He adds that after the marriage, they planned to turn Aarambhi into a housewife and end her career before it even began.
Vishwas tells Avantika how irritating it was for him to plan a child with Aarambhi. Aarambhi grips a thorny stem, not noticing the blood flowing from her hand. Vishwas says he is lucky to have met Avantika just a week after his marriage to Aarambhi at a conference in London.
Aarambhi recalls how Vishwas indirectly rejected Nandita’s suggestion to take her to London for their honeymoon, claiming he was going there for work. Avantika wonders how Aarambhi never doubted Vishwas despite his constant insults. Vishwas says it’s because she is stupid and he is smart, adding that he gaslighted and insulted her so she wouldn’t understand. Aarambhi remembers Radhika warning her about Vishwas gaslighting her and sabotaging her career, but she hadn’t heeded the advice.
Unable to accept the truth, Aarambhi leaves the terrace. She recalls how her father Balbir had expressed doubts about her marriage, fearing Vishwas wasn’t mature enough to handle Aarambhi becoming a more successful doctor, but she had defended him.
Aarambhi remembers how Vishwas left her on their first night after receiving a phone call. She recalls how he stopped her from going to the hospital during her pregnancy and later forced her to quit work after her miscarriage, asking her to rest at home, claiming she was emotionally and physically weak. Aarambhi also remembers how Vishwas made her open a joint account so he could control her finances. She realises she believed all of Vishwas’s lies because she listened to her heart instead of her head.
Aarambhi looks at Manju and apologises for not being there for her.
