The episode begins with Panibai reflecting on her relationship with Bapusa, thinking that everyone in the house knows the truth but pretends not to. She resents how Savitri continuously disrespects her and vows to one day take revenge for these insults.
Meanwhile, Vikram (Anurag’s father) addresses a group of people, asking for their votes and offering help. He instructs them to go to Rajesh if they face any issues. However, the crowd complains about Rajesh, accusing him of ignoring their concerns and even beating them when they come to him with complaints.
Rajesh arrives and confronts the crowd, asking if they are complaining about him. Vikram pulls Rajesh aside for a private conversation and asks how things are going. Rajesh expresses frustration, warning Vikram that Durga has become too influential and advising him to be cautious.
Later, Savitri taunts Panibai by suggesting that if Panibai were married, she would give her Prashad and Sindhur. Panibai retorts that if she were married, Savitri wouldn’t have her Sindhur. Panibai reminds Savitri that she was the one who took care of Bapusa when he was ill and saved him. She also recounts how she helped resolve the conflict with the Kabela people after Vikram accidentally shot Durga’s father.
In a flashback, we see Vikram shooting Durga’s father, which enraged the Kabela people, who threatened to burn down the Haveli. Panibai stepped in and assured them that she would take responsibility for Durga, diffusing the situation peacefully.
Back in the present, Durga tells Anurag she’s too tired to walk, prompting him to carry her on his back.
Elsewhere, the Rajvadi family women leave a Diya in the river. Anurag and Durga wade into the river to retrieve it. The story then takes a 15-year leap, showing Anurag and Durga as adults.
The next morning, Indira asks Anurag’s mother for her soup, and Durga offers to get it from the kitchen.
Anurag calls the college and learns that Durga has topped the district. Excited, he rushes to share the news with everyone.
Indira is later seen drinking her soup when she asks Durga about her exam results. Durga says she hasn’t checked them yet. Panibai then intervenes, telling Durga there’s no need for her to study further since she belongs to the Kabela people. When Durga questions why she can’t continue her education, Panibai lashes out at her for speaking back. Anurag’s mother pulls Durga aside, advising her not to argue with Panibai, but Durga insists that it’s important to stand up for what’s right. Anurag’s mother comments on her boldness.
Panibai then discovers that Savitri sent a servant to fetch flowers without informing her. Enraged, Panibai lashes out at Savitri, reminding her that she makes the rules in the house. Durga silently vows to put an end to all of this one day.
