The episode starts with Savitri commenting on Paanibai, noting that while she came to the house as a servant to bring water, she now seems to be ruling over everyone. Paanibai retorts that the house is safe only because she is running it and remarks that if Savitri were in charge, it would have been destroyed a long time ago. Paanibai adds that Vikram and Anant listen to her and respect her, whereas only Madhav listens to Savitri.
Madhav approaches Savitri and asks why she is disturbed. Savitri explains that Paanibai is insulting her right in front of the servants. Durga offers tea to Madhav, who then asks Durga what happened.
Durga tells Madhav that Savitri sent Munna to get flowers for a pooja. Paanibai interrupts, reminding Durga that she is not part of the family and has no right to speak on this matter. Durga argues with Paanibai, pointing out that Paanibai is also not part of the family. Indira questions Durga’s behavior towards Paanibai, but Durga insists she is speaking the truth and takes a stand for Savitri.
Paanibai tells Durga that she has protected the house from many dangers and has earned her place here, which is why she is considered part of the family.
Durga arrives at school and learns that she has become the district topper and is being felicitated for it.
Durga goes to the tree and calls Anurag, informing him about her results. Anurag pretends to have forgotten. Upset by his reaction, Durga asks Anurag if he called the school. Anurag dismisses the question, saying it doesn’t matter. Durga then invites Anurag to her house for Teej the next day, but Anurag says he is very busy.
Later, Anurag shows up in front of Durga, surprising her. Durga asks why he didn’t tell her about his visit. Anurag replies that it wouldn’t have been a surprise if he had.
