The episode starts with Panibai telling Durga that she doesn’t like the relationship Durga has with Anurag and that it should change. Panibai insists that from today onwards, Durga will stay away from Anurag. Durga asks Panibai to inform Anurag that she is not allowed to meet him. Savitri questions Panibai, asking who gave her the right to make such decisions for the house. Indira chimes in, stating that while Panibai may not have that right, she does because she is part of the family. Indira also expresses that she doesn’t want Durga to be close to Anurag.
Panibai declares that Durga will not study from today onwards and that she will learn how to manage the house instead. Durga insists she wants to be a doctor. Indira tells Durga that she must follow the house rules if she wants to stay there, reminding her that her studies are her right and no one can take that away from her. Durga states she will speak directly to Vikram about it. Panibai retorts that they will see if Vikram will listen to her or to Durga.
Panibai welcomes Vikram and Anant into the house, performing Aarti for them. Vikram asks Panibai how everything is going, and she replies that everything is fine, as she is taking care of it all.
Vikram and Anant greet the family members. Savitri approaches Vikram, asking if his mother is still alive. She questions why he is inquiring about the household from Panibai since the house belongs to her. Vikram explains that while the house may belong to her, it is run by Panibai, who is doing a good job, which is why he asked her about it. Anubhav arrives and greets Savitri, then asks where Durga is, noting that today is her day.
Vikram’s wife calls for Durga, who enters the hall. Vikram praises Durga for topping the district and says he has a gift for her. Durga expresses her desire to study medicine, and Vikram agrees, which upsets Panibai.
Later, Vikram gifts Savitri and Panibai matching dresses, just in different colors. Savitri reacts negatively to this and comments on it. Anubhav asks Durga to make tea, and she agrees. Panibai insists on making the tea instead, telling Durga to rest. Panibai then requests to speak with Vikram alone about something, to which Savitri inquires what it is.
Durga worries that Panibai will prevent her from studying. She thinks that if necessary, she will leave this house but will not stop her education.
In Vikram’s room, Panibai reminds Vikram of how she has taken care of the family and urges him to arrange Durga’s marriage. Vikram remains silent. Anurag overhears their conversation.
