The episode starts with Panibai reminding Vikram how the Kabela people surrounded their house when he accidentally killed Durga’s father, and they threatened to burn the house down. Panibai says it was her who stood in front of the Kabela people, took Durga in, and promised them that Durga would be raised in their house, calming their anger. Vikram tells Panibai that he remembers and she doesn’t need to remind him. He adds that she was the one who suggested they stop talking about it, as learning the truth would hurt Durga. Vikram says they allowed Durga and her mother to stay in their house. Panibai replies that if Durga’s mother had stayed, it would have caused problems, so they made everyone believe that Durga’s mother moved to the city and committed suicide. But, Panibai adds, only he and she know the real truth. Vikram says he is aware of all this.
Panibai then tells Vikram that it’s time for him to arrange Durga’s marriage. Vikram asks how they can, as he needs Durga for his election campaign. He admits that’s the only reason he has taken care of her all these years. Panibai warns Vikram that if he doesn’t arrange the marriage, he will be in serious trouble. Vikram asks what she means. Panibai reveals that Durga has her eyes on Anurag, and says she has someone else in mind for Durga — Rajesh. Vikram agrees with her suggestion and asks her to handle it. Although Anurag doesn’t hear Rajesh’s name, he overhears their plan to marry off Durga and resolves not to let that happen.
At the dining table, Panibai announces that Vikram has decided the whole family will move to Delhi. Savitri disagrees, saying this is her home. Vikram tells Savitri he can’t let her stay because he worries about her safety. Madhav also refuses to leave as he has his business here. Anant suggests he move the business to Delhi. Madhav replies that it’s not just about business, but also the memories tied to the house. Panibai comments on it. Anubhav asks what will happen to Durga. Durga says she will stay in the hostel and asks them not to worry. Vikram insists there’s no need for that and she can stay here and study.
Meanwhile, the Kabela people arrive at Anurag’s house, pleading to see Durga. They tell her a child has been bitten by a snake and will die before reaching the hospital. They beg Durga to come and save the child, as she knows how to help. Panibai objects, reminding them there is a rule in the house that women are not allowed to leave at night. Anurag offers to go, but admits he doesn’t have the necessary medicine. Durga suggests they try Ayurvedic medicine and prepares to leave to help the Kabela people.
Panibai then discusses with the family whether Durga should go to Kabela or not. Durga firmly states that as the daughter of Kabela, it is her duty to help her people.
