The episode begins with Panibai telling Durga that, unlike in Kinsar, she won’t be confined to just working in the kitchen. Panibai instructs Durga to take on the rest of the household chores as well. Confused, Durga asks Panibai what she means. Vikram intervenes, saying Durga needs to work outside the kitchen because they plan to reduce the number of maids in the house now that she’s here. He adds that they must bear her burden. Sarcastically, Durga comments that she didn’t know Vikram was so miserly but assures him she has no problem doing the housework.
Aarthi asks Durga to help her in the kitchen by cutting vegetables. However, Panibai stops her, saying Durga will not work in the kitchen. Indira declares she won’t eat food prepared by Durga. When Aarthi questions her, Durga makes a sarcastic comment about the Rathore family. Savitri defends Durga, saying she will support her, as she now knows Durga was forced to marry Rajesh against her will.
Madhav enters and surprises Savitri by thanking her for raising him as her own, even though he is Panibai’s son. Panibai tries to speak to Madhav as his mother, but Madhav coldly clarifies that giving birth to him doesn’t make her his mother. He says Panibai will always remain just Panibai to him. Hurt, Panibai comments on Madhav’s behavior. Madhav retorts, asking if she’s criticizing him because she got his property. He further states that he is willing to write the property in the name of the other children in the house. Savitri reassures Madhav that he is a part of this family and asks him not to feel otherwise.
Later, Vikram confronts Durga and tells her to leave the house if she fails to secure a medical seat during counseling. He adds a condition that she must not use his name as her guardian, suggesting she list her late husband Rajesh instead. Durga agrees to his terms. Panibai then orders Durga to clean the entire house. Durga questions how she will manage to clean the entire house and still attend counseling on time. Panibai dismissively tells her that she can leave for counseling only after completing her chores.
Durga arrives late to the counseling session but is still allowed to attend. The dean, Dr. Vikas, reviews Durga’s file and realizes she is the person Vikram had mentioned. He questions Durga about her guardian. Durga writes that she is a relative of Anurag. The dean asks her to be more specific. Durga explains that Anurag is a resident doctor in the Rathore household where she is staying. The dean then suggests that she list Anurag as her guardian. Durga hesitates, explaining that Vikram doesn’t approve of this.
The dean warns Durga that without a proper guardian and address, she will not be admitted to the college. Durga pleads for more time, saying she will try to get permission to list someone else as her guardian. The dean gives her until 5 PM to resolve the matter.
