The episode begins with Vikram asking the reporters to stop recording. Vikram tells the reporters that after Durga lost her husband, she became mentally unstable. He claims that Durga’s statements about her mother are completely false. Vikram questions the reporters, saying that if Durga’s mother were alive, she would have raised Durga instead of him.
Durga denies being mentally unstable and challenges the reporters to think about whether she doesn’t deserve to get admitted into a prestigious college like Imperial Medical College. Some reporters suggest that Durga can study while staying in a hostel. Durga agrees and emphasizes that this is exactly what she has been trying to say.
Panibai then scolds Durga, asking if this is how she repays Vikram for raising her all these years. Durga insists that she is only fighting for her right to an education. She confronts Vikram for refusing to let her use his name as her guardian and declares that if this continues, she will take charge of her own future and become her own guardian. Durga demands that Vikram call the dean and sort the issue out.
Meanwhile, Anurag returns home and asks Anubhav whether Durga has been admitted to college. Anubhav explains that the dean told Durga she needs a guardian’s name to enroll in Imperial Medical College. However, Vikram is unwilling to let her use his name, which is causing difficulties. Hearing this, Anurag decides to confront Vikram.
As the situation escalates, others who learn about Durga’s predicament begin supporting her and urge Vikram to take action. Anurag questions Vikram directly, asking why he cannot be Durga’s guardian when she is already 21 years old. Vikram explains that the people of Kinsar will be angry if he allows Durga to enroll in Imperial Medical College. Instead, he offers to admit her to a medical college closer to Kinsar.
Durga rejects this suggestion and voices her disapproval. A minister supporting Vikram, Bhanu, expresses his solidarity with Durga and assures Anurag that he will talk to the dean if needed. Anurag agrees and takes Durga to get her admitted into Imperial Medical College.
Meanwhile, Panibai decides to kill Durga for humiliating Vikram.
Later, Vikram expresses his frustration to Panibai over the incident. Panibai coldly suggests that Durga has become a burden and must be eliminated. She proposes poisoning Durga and assures Vikram that no one will suspect her, as she has “rare knowledge” of poisons. She reveals her plan to prepare Sharbat (a sweet drink) under the pretense of her Vrath (religious fast) and give Durga a “special” portion. Once Durga is dead, Vikram will dispose of her body and spread a story claiming she left on her own. Vikram agrees and orders Panibai to execute her plan.
Anurag and Durga return home, where Savitri eagerly asks whether Durga has been admitted. Durga confirms her admission, expressing her gratitude.
Meanwhile, Panibai prepares Sharbat for everyone, pretending it is part of her Vrath.
