The episode begins with Neil asking Leena if she’s hiding something from him. Leena reassures Neil, saying there’s nothing to hide. She tells him she was just worried because he seemed unusually disturbed. Leena asks Neil never to misunderstand his mother and reminds him that she has always loved him.
Neil questions Leena, asking why she’s speaking that way. He wonders if she’s afraid he’ll abandon her after getting married. Neil promises that if she’s feeling that way, they can call off the wedding. Leena firmly refuses, saying it’s every mother’s dream to see her son settle down and start a family.
Meanwhile, Deepali approaches Juhi and asks why she hasn’t gotten ready yet. Teju explains that Juhi has already done her makeup and only needs to wear a saree. Deepali picks a saree for Juhi, but Teju suggests it won’t look good on her and asks if there’s a better option. Deepali replies that they only buy new dresses during Padva, and if Mohit were alive, he would have gifted Juhi a new dress for the occasion.
Just then, Mukta arrives with a saree for Juhi, saying it will look beautiful on her. Aditi praises the saree, and Deepali helps Juhi wear it. Aditi compliments Juhi, saying she looks stunning in the saree Mukta gifted her.
However, Lakshmi, upon seeing the saree, sarcastically comments that now she understands where Mohit’s money went. She belittles Mukta, prompting Teju to tell Mukta not to take Lakshmi’s words to heart, as they are always meant to hurt her. Lakshmi defends herself, saying her words sting because she only speaks the truth. She goes on to say that if Mukta had any self-respect, she wouldn’t have “trapped” her husband.
Teju, upset, tells Lakshmi to stop insulting her mother and warns that she won’t tolerate anyone disrespecting her. Mukta asks Teju to stop speaking, but Aditi steps in, saying that if someone insulted her mother, she would have broken their nose. Lakshmi retorts, saying with people like Aditi around, she doesn’t need enemies.
Deepali, hearing Neil’s family arrive, begs Lakshmi to stop the argument.
Neil’s family enters Chavan Niwas with sweets, but Omi, Mohit’s father, tells the Pradhan family they cannot accept the gifts, as his son passed away from a heart attack in Amaravati.
