The episode starts with Leena assuring her family that Neil will only marry someone she chooses for him. She also orders Neil to stay away from Mohit’s family. Leena announces that she will call the Chavan family and fix the wedding date. Vinod asks Neil if he is happy with this decision. Leena questions Vinod, saying there’s no need to ask Neil because whatever decision she makes is for his best interest. Neil, frustrated, says there’s no point in expressing his opinion if it doesn’t matter. He then leaves. Leena dismisses Neil’s reaction, claiming he has no objections.
The Chavan family is shown performing a Pooja for Mohit’s soul to rest in peace. The Pandit asks Mohit’s wife and children to come forward to participate in the Pooja.
Mukta steps forward, but Lakshmi stops her, stating that when the Pandit asked for Mohit’s wife, he meant Lakshmi — not Mukta. Lakshmi harshly reminds Mukta that neither the house, society, nor the law recognizes her marriage. Mukta pleads with Lakshmi to let her join the Pooja, insisting that she is also Mohit’s wife and married him with the sacred fire as a witness. Lakshmi scoffs and asks if Mukta thinks she’s foolish enough to let the woman who ruined her marriage sit in the Pooja.
Lakshmi warns the Chavan family that if they allow Mukta to participate, she will take the property inherited after Mohit’s death and return to her maternal home. Omi comments on Lakshmi’s reaction. Mukta assures Lakshmi she has no interest in Mohit’s property and begs to be part of the Pooja. Aditi also requests Lakshmi to reconsider, but Lakshmi remains firm. Teju comforts Mukta and criticizes Lakshmi’s behavior. Satish scolds Teju for interfering in elders’ matters, but Teju stands her ground, saying she won’t stay silent when someone insults her mother.
Lakshmi and Aditi sit in the Pooja. Meanwhile, Neil arrives at Chavan Niwas and says he overheard that someone has an issue with Mukta participating in the ritual. Lakshmi admits she’s the one with the problem and makes a cutting remark. Neil tells the Chavan family that he wants to take Mukta and her children to perform the Pooja at a nearby temple. Satish opposes the idea, but Omi gives his permission, allowing Neil to leave with Mukta and her children.
