The episode starts with Teji telling Jarnail that upbringing children is not her responsibility alone. Jarnail rebukes her saying she has habit to do everything independently so she should do this too. Teji says she can handle it but if it’s good for their kids. They start arguing so Heer comes there and tells Sunny and Simran to go to room . Heer advises them not to fight infront of kids as they will remember it forever. Teji says she has been trying to same to Jarnail. Jarnail mocks Heer and even scolds Teji. Teji tells Heer that her own family is at fault as they got her married to Jarnail seeing the big house but she feels suffocated here.
Teji leaves crying and Heer thinks how no one understands Teji’s pain. Ranjha brings Sartaj to his home and requests him if he can give any work to him at Atwal mansion. Sartaj says it will make things difficult for Heer as Rajwinder will take his anger on Heer too. He asks Ranjha why he never talks about his father. In darkness,Sartaj fails to see Ranjha’s mother’s picture on wall.
Ranjha says that his father was a fraud who ran away ditching his mother and he hates him a lot. Sartaj says he doesn’t understand why good people have to suffer so much. He says how Rajwinder scolded Heer for wearing colorful clothes in morning and says he hope someone can bring back colors in Heer’s life. Ranjha thinks he is doing all this for the same. At home, Heer sees househelp struggling to walk so she offers to serve food herself. She makes the househelp sit and sprays pain relief on her feet. Heer asks her to take rest while she will manage the work at home.
Due to heavy rain and storm, Ranjha’s mother’s picture falls from wall. Ranjha suggests Sartaj to wait till storm is over. One of broken glass pieces prick Sartaj’s feet. Heer brings food for Teji and asks her why no one in family eats together at dinning table. Teji says how all the relations of the family are all entangled. She says after marriage even she tried lot to unite the family but she failed. Heer promises herself that she will try to unite this family.
Sartaj tells Ranjha that the father who did not get son like him is really unlucky. Ranjha notices his mother’s picture fallen down so puts it back on wall. Sartaj is left shocked seeing it and questions Ranjha who she is. When Ranjha tells she is his mother, Sartaj gets emotional. He tells Ranjha that he is his blood and he is the unlucky father who didn’t get love from him. But this turns Sartaj’s imagination, he recalls Ranjha telling that he hates his father so he doesn’t tell the truth about his identity. Sartaj thinks inspite of being his son, Ranjha has spent his life with hardships but he deserves place in his house. Sartaj tells Ranjha that he will take him home but he should be prepared for Rajwinder’s taunts. The episode ends with Ranjha thinking he is going to Atwal house to bring colors back in Heer’s life.
