The episode starts with Adrija telling Chandan that she is worried about Zoravar, who didn’t accept Meghla or this marriage. She then blames herself. Chandan says Meghla has Ranbir and remaining family members support, so she doesn’t have to worry about it. He then says that he is surprised to see her change in behaviour. Mahua questions Chandan’s statement. The latter defends himself. Also, he asks Adrija to move on, forgetting the past. Mahua also agrees with him. Chandan then leaves. Adrija complains to Mahua, saying Chandan doesn’t believe her. Mahua comforts her, saying it’s not like that, then she takes the guests with her. Adrija send other’s inside, too, saying she is keeping a fasting. Then she decides to send gifts which Mahua kept it for maids to trouble Meghla.
Later, at Bajwa’s house, Ranbir’s cousin’s and Arjun argue with each other to open their gifts sent by Meghla’s parent’s. They all wait for Meghla. Meghla arrives there, so Param asks her permission to open the gift. Just then, Amarjeet arrives there. Meghla goes to take her blessings, but she refuses to bless her. Zoravar badly criticises Meghla, so Meher shouts at him for his behaviour. Zoravar insults Meher using Abin, so Balveer takes a firm stand, asking Zoravar to stop his nonsense.
Param inquires about Ranbir’s whereabout. Zoravar misunderstands Param, so he asks the latter if he is threatening him. Param clarifies it’s not his intentions. Meher says to Zoravar that Ranbir went outside. She then notices Meghla is upset, so she asks her the reason behind it. Meghla apologises to Meher and the entire family for her earlier behaviour towards the elders. Simran requests the family members to forget everything.
Param distracts everyone by opening Arjun’s gift. Everyone gets shocked to find torn clothes, so Meher questions Meghla. She also says that they feel insulted. Meghla defends her parents, saying there must be a misunderstanding. Amarjeet taunts Meghla’s parents. Meghla defends her parents’ decision to adopt her. She also praises their thoughtful decision. Meher asks Simran to open Amarjeet’s gift. Simran obliges. She opens and finds an old saree. They also open a few more gifts and find similar clothes. Everyone gets disappointed, so they expresses it to Meghla. Balveer orders his family to return the gifts to Sen’s the next day.
Meher feels the gifts must have gotten exchanged. Harman feels the same. Zoravar badly criticises Meghla’s parents. Meghla gets angry. She tries to defend them, but Zoravar shouts at her with a warning. Simran decides to open Ranbir and Meghla’s gifts going against Meher’s wish. Everyone gets surprised by finding costly dresses for both Ranbir and Meghla. Amarjeet orders Meher to call Chandan immediately to question his act.
Meghla tells everyone that she thinks the gifts must get exchanged. Harman says Chandan won’t do anything such to insult them. Param suspect Adrija is behind all this, but other family members refuse to believe him except Arjun. Everyone criticises Chandan. Meher says to Meghla that the latter will never understand what they are feeling. Balveer firmly tells Meghla that if her parents insult them like this, then they won’t keep any relationship with them in the future. Meghla gets shocked. Zoravar again insults Meghla’s parents. Meghla tries to defend them, but Meher stops her.
