The episode starts with all the elderly men lashing out at Virat for bringing people to demolish the building. Suhas raises his hand at Virat, but Anvita stops him. She also mocks Virat. Virat urges the workers to proceed with the demolition process, but they refuse and leave. Anvita and others rejoice. Anvita tells Virat that no one can defeat her when her people are with her. Virat says money has more power, then leaves.
Madhuri prays to God that this new year brings positivity into their lives and that they all focus on their future. Meanwhile, Virat faces his father’s wrath for whatever happened in the café. Virat promises to remove the people from that area and not to ruin his name. He then bumps into Dhruvi, who questions him for not meeting her at the place she mentioned in a note and gave to him. Virat clarifies it. So Dhruvi asks him to meet her at a particular restaurant, then leaves. Virat gets frustrated.
Here, Anvita tells Sanjay that they should forget the past and move on. She insists they promise each other certain things to avoid misunderstandings. She promises Sanjay to spend dinner time with him and also fulfill both her family and business responsibilities. Sanjay promises to support her as he used to before they got married. Both of them promise a few more things. Madhuri and Anvita’s siblings get happy witnessing this, so they all applaud for them.
Later, Sanjay orders his subordinate Shirkey to get access to the CCTV camera in the Kotachiwadi area. Shirkey asks him the reason. Before Sanjay could speak, Anvita arrives there with his lunch. Sanjay’s other colleague arrives there. He calls Sanjay a lucky man for having Anvita as his wife. He then teases Anvita and shares with her details about a murder case in which the wife kills her husband with the help of her ex-boyfriend. Sanjay recalls Virat and Anvita’s interaction on New Year’s Eve. Anvita tells Sanjay’s colleague that girls often go through the same situation, but one should have complete trust in their partner to avoid all this. Sanjay remains silent.
Sanjay reminds Anvita about her promise to have dinner together at 8 p.m. Anvita assures him, then leaves. After she leaves, Sanjay orders Shirkey to keep an eye on Anvita. Shirkey obliges. Meanwhile, Suhas gets upset with himself for having alcohol. Just then, two youngsters arrive. They see the money, so they fool Suhas, then attack him and run away with it. Suhas is shocked.
Here, Anvita asks a person on the call to meet her at their usual spot. It turns out to be Virat, who mocks her married life. Anvita blames Virat for stooping so low by using Suhas to take revenge on her. Virat is shocked, but he decides not to give clarification or prove his innocence. He blames both Anvita and Sanjay. Anvita questions Virat’s change in behavior and pleads with him to go back to his old self, but Virat refuses, saying that Anvita is the reason behind his ruthless behavior. Anvita gets hurt. Meanwhile, Shirkey, who is following Anvita without her knowledge, informs Sanjay that Anvita is with Virat. Sanjay looks at the clock, which is past 8 p.m., so he gets upset and angry.
Precap: Anvita and her family members get worried seeing Suhas’s injured state. Anvita informs Diya about the stolen amount. Sanjay uses this opportunity to send Virat to prison.
Our take: Anvita shouldn’t have given Sanjay hope with her promises, only to break them later. Sanjay, disturbed by the closeness of Virat and Anvita, has started acting like an obsessed husband, spying on Anvita. Both Anvita and Sanjay are equally responsible for whatever happens in the future that will affect their lives. Dhruvi’s interest in Virat can either make or break them both.
