The episode starts with Kalikant’s mother telling Jagriti to always remember that she is a Chitta. Jagriti stays silent.
Jagriti goes to the cowshed and, in her heart, tells Geeta that she had said getting an education would bring freedom, but when Jagriti tried to pursue education, she was locked in the cowshed.
Akash comes to Jagriti. He gives her a slate, but Jagriti dismisses it, saying she doesn’t want this “black stone.” Akash explains that it is a slate and tells her she can use it to get an education. He adds that she has been trying so hard to get educated, so why not turn the cowshed into her school?
Amol visits Geeta. She asks him what he’s doing in the court, and he replies that he is there as an SP. He congratulates her on becoming the judge and comments that now she has the power to punish people. Geeta clarifies that her duty is not to punish but to uphold the law. Amol mentions that they’ve caught a criminal, who happens to be a Chitta. Geeta thinks of Harish.
Jagriti imagines Kalikant’s house as a school. Later, Akash promises Jagriti that he will help her get an education. Jamuna asks Akash what he is doing there, and he leaves. Jamuna warns Jagriti to stay away from Akash, reminding her that he is Sarkar’s son.
Bindi asks Durjan if being a Chitta has become such a big crime that they can’t even speak up against Kalikant when he beats Harish. Durjan tells Bindi not to question him and reminds her that she’s also responsible for what happened. He asks why she didn’t stop Harish from going to Kalikant’s house. Durjan tells Bindi to be grateful that Kalikant only took out his anger on Harish and not on the whole Chitta community. Ratna mentions that Kalikant has also sent Raka to jail. Nanda says Raka deserves it because he chose friendship over the community. Durjan comments on that as well.
Geeta is shocked to see Raka as the accused. She remembers her time spent with Raka and Harish.
Jagriti is shocked to see the amount of food on the dining table, as she has never seen so much food for one person. Jamuna stops her from approaching the table and reminds her that she is a Chitta. As Jamuna is about to take Jagriti away, Ganga intervenes. She asks Kalikant to send Jagriti away, pointing out that she is just a child. Kalikant coldly replies that Jagriti is not a child, she is a Chitta. He tells Ganga not to tell him how to run his business.
Kalikant notices that Akash is not wearing his school uniform. He asks Ganga why she didn’t make sure her child was dressed properly for school. Suraj also comments on Akash, but Akash replies that there is no school today because there is a Bund (strike).
Avadhesh, his wife, and Sapna visit Kalikant’s house. Sapna spends time with Kalikant’s children.
Geeta asks Raka if he wants a lawyer. Raka says no one will fight for him because he is a Chitta. Geeta asks if he doesn’t have money for a lawyer, but Raka doesn’t respond. The lawyer tells Geeta that the case is open and shut, and the accused has already admitted to his crime. Hearing this, Geeta sentences Raka to three years in jail.
Jagriti feels overwhelmed in the kitchen and doesn’t understand what to do. Seeing this, Jamuna comments that Jagriti should observe and learn because, starting tomorrow, she will be doing all the kitchen work.
