The episode starts with Jagriti getting someone to pull up Harish, who is hanging onto a rock, trying to prevent himself from falling into the valley. Jagriti prays to God to save her father. She sees a horse and gets an idea. Jagriti ties the foot of the man holding Harish’s hand to the horse and makes the horse pull both the man and Harish back. The man tries to help Harish up, but Harish is unable to stand due to an injury to his waist.
Meanwhile, Ballu is playing cards with his friends and remarks that Harish will be eaten by wild animals today. Durjan arrives and asks Ballu why he hasn’t gone hunting. Durjan mocks Ballu, saying if he has free time, he should help the women with housework.
Jagriti brings the horse with Harish on it. A man approaches Durjan and informs him of the bad news: Harish has fallen off the horse and into the cliff. Durjan wonders how Harish, the best horse rider in their community, could fall off. Ballu suggests that Harish might have been riding drunk. Jagriti immediately defends her father, saying Harish hadn’t consumed any alcohol. The man adds that it seems Harish has broken his waist, as he cannot stand. Durjan orders someone to fetch a doctor. Ballu protests, questioning why they should call a doctor to treat Harish. He reminds Durjan that Harish has been a burden on the Chitta community, spending years drinking alcohol, and now his treatment will cost even more. Nanda also points out that Jagriti hasn’t completed the challenge of earning Rs 100 per day, which Harish had taken up, and now he likely won’t be able to finish it. Jagriti steps forward, saying that Harish will receive treatment, but not for free. She declares that she is going to complete the challenge of Rs 100 per day and heads into the jungle.
In the jungle, Jagriti spots a foreign bird and pleads with it to enter the cage so that she can sell it to pay for her father’s treatment. The bird enters the cage.
Jagriti then stands by the roadside, trying to sell the bird for Rs 100. The police notice Jagriti selling a foreign bird and take her to Kalikant’s house.
Meanwhile, Akash’s grandmother is shown to be troubled by a rabbit in the house. Akash asks her not to scold the rabbit, but his grandmother comments on it.
The police bring Jagriti and the bird to Kalikant’s house. Akash’s mother learns from the cops that Jagriti was trying to sell the bird by the roadside. Akash recognizes Jagriti as the girl who saved the rabbit and tells his mother about it. Akash’s mother asks Jagriti why she captured the bird. Jagriti explains that if she sells the bird, she will get Rs 100, and the bird will live happily in a golden cage.
Akash’s mother then ties Jagriti with a golden chain and asks how she feels. Jagriti says she feels suffocated. Akash’s mother explains that no matter how beautiful the cage is, no one likes being confined in one, and comments on the situation. Jagriti realizes her mistake and thanks Akash’s mother. She then frees the bird, and the police do not object after seeing Akash’s mother’s influence. Kalikant enters the house.
