The episode starts with Kalikant returning home.
The constable tells Kalikant that the girl was selling a foreign bird on the side of the road. Jagriti admits to selling the foreign bird and says she has now freed the bird, as a good lady made her understand that it is wrong to keep a bird in a cage. Jagriti tells Kalikant she will not sell the bird again. Kalikant asks Jagriti her name, and she replies that her name is Jagriti. Kalikant then asks Jagriti her father’s name. Jagriti says Harish is alive but injured, and that Durjan has put forth a condition: she must earn Rs 100 for Harish to receive treatment. Kalikant becomes furious upon learning that Harish is alive and leaves. The constable tells Jagriti to leave, and she agrees, leaving the place.
Kalikant’s mother notices his anger and approaches him. She asks Kalikant what happened. Kalikant complains to his mother that he made a mistake in the past by sparing Harish, and now it is causing him problems. He reveals that Solanki told him Geeta has returned to Mokshgarh with her husband and that Kalikant must ensure Geeta doesn’t learn the truth about the past. Kalikant also mentions that Jagriti is selling foreign birds on the roadside. Kalikant’s mother advises him to solve the issue calmly and think it through, rather than resorting to violence unnecessarily, as the Chitta people might rebel. Kalikant responds that if they think about rebelling, he will destroy them. His mother reminds him that he needs the Chitta people to run his business and suggests he consider whether helping Solanki is worth the potential loss. Kalikant begins to ponder this.
Jagriti sees the foreign bird again and tells it to leave, and the bird flies away.
Sapna catches the bird in a cage and tells Geeta she wants a bigger cage for it. Geeta replies that the bird will not be happy if it is kept in a cage. Sapna argues that she will be happy and asks Geeta whether she cares more about her or the bird’s happiness. Amol interjects, saying he wants Sapna to be happy. He promises to buy a bigger cage and reassures Sapna. Sapna thanks him.
Geeta asks Amol if he doesn’t think it’s morally wrong to cage the bird. Amol responds that Sapna is a child and should be allowed to enjoy her life. He then urges Geeta to unpack quickly, as he dislikes having so many boxes in the house.
Meanwhile, Mangala asks Bindi to convince Jagriti to follow Durjan’s orders to secure treatment for Harish. Bindi questions why Mangala always blames Jagriti. Mangala responds by saying there’s no one else to blame, as Durjan is using Harish as a pawn to trouble Jagriti. Nanda criticizes Mangala’s thinking. Durjan comments that it’s understandable for Mangala to be emotional seeing her son in this condition, but decisions regarding the community must be made. At that moment, one of Kalikant’s men arrives, telling Durjan that Kalikant has been furious ever since Jagriti came to his house. Durjan immediately leaves.
Jagriti, feeling disheartened because she couldn’t earn the Rs 100, complains to God and considers hunting to save her father. Akash, on the other hand, frees a rabbit in the forest. Jagriti aims at the rabbit but cannot bring herself to shoot it, instead firing into the air. Akash witnesses this and accuses Jagriti of being a liar, saying that she pretended to save the rabbit and free the bird, but in reality, she is a hunter.
