The episode begins with Geeta praying to God, asking for justice for Jagriti. Meanwhile, reporters announce on the news that, for the first time, a girl from the Chitta community will appear in court, accused of stealing Kalikant Thakur’s watch.
Jagriti is brought to the court by the police. The reporters ask her if she stole the watch, but Jagriti angrily denies the accusation, saying she hasn’t stolen anything. She then leaves with the cops, frustrated by the questions.
Inside the court, Jagriti runs into Ibadat, who tries to comfort her by saying that the truth will prevail today. Jagriti responds that she always tells the truth and asks if this means she’ll win. Ibadat reassures her and prays for her well-being, and Jagriti heads into the courtroom with renewed hope.
Entering the courtroom, Jagriti is surprised, as it’s her first time seeing it. Geeta arrives as the judge for Jagriti’s case, which shocks Amol, who thinks Geeta shouldn’t be here. It is then revealed that Geeta took special permission from her superior for this case, hoping it would help gather evidence against Kalikant Thakur’s criminal racket.
As the proceedings begin, Geeta hears Jagriti’s name and birth date and suddenly realizes that Jagriti is her daughter. In a rush of emotion, Geeta runs to Jagriti, claiming that she’s her mother. Amol questions how Jagriti could be her daughter, but Geeta insists that it’s true. Jagriti, however, says she is the daughter of Harish, and that her mother is “in the stars.” Geeta, overcome, claims that Harish lied and that she is Jagriti’s real mother. She then orders the cops to take Harish into custody for fraud, declaring she will forfeit her rights over Jagriti.
Harish suddenly snaps out of his daydream. He tells Bindi that Geeta will learn the truth about Jagriti as soon as she hears her name and birth date, so they must get Jagriti out of there before that happens. Bindi notices a tray with sindoor and turmeric. Acting quickly, she turns on a fan, causing the sindoor and turmeric to blow towards the police, temporarily blinding them. Taking advantage of the distraction, Bindi and Harish slip into the court premises.
Inside the courtroom, Geeta asks if any lawyer has come forward to represent Jagriti. The public prosecutor replies that no one is willing to represent a Chitta. Jagriti asks Geeta what she means, and Geeta explains that there should be a lawyer to present her case. Jagriti confidently asserts that she will argue her own case and doesn’t need anyone’s help. Impressed, Geeta agrees and allows her to proceed.
The lawyer begins by asking Jagriti for her name. She replies that her name is Chitta. When the lawyer demands that she answer correctly, Jagriti retorts by asking for the lawyer’s name, explaining that names are given by what people call them, just as people call her Chitta. The lawyer then asks her age, but Jagriti says she doesn’t know, although Inspector Pratap would know. Geeta, curious, asks her to explain, and Jagriti reveals that in their community, whenever a Chitta child is born, they are taken to Kalikant’s house, where the police record their fingerprints.
Geeta then questions Inspector Pratap if this is true, but he denies it. Geeta turns to the lawyer and asks if he was aware of this, but the lawyer pretends to have a heart attack and quickly leaves with the help of the cops. Geeta postpones the hearing until the following day and instructs Amol to investigate Jagriti’s claims. She then adjourns the court.
Meanwhile, with Bindi’s help, Harish sneaks into the court and unexpectedly encounters Geeta.
