The upcoming track of Zee TV’s Jagriti will see an emotional yet dramatic turn in the storyline. Suraj and Jagriti strengthen their bond as they exchange the symbol of their love, but their peace is soon overshadowed by Kalikant’s sinister move. In a shocking twist, Kalikant murders his twin brother Shashikant and then disguises himself as him, announcing to everyone that Kalikant is dead.
Preparations for the final rites begin, but Suraj flatly refuses to perform them, unwilling to honour a man who only brought pain and cruelty into their lives. Jagriti’s superior, however, insists that since Kalikant was a state minister, his burial must take place with full state honours. At the ceremony, while all the officers salute, Jagriti boldly refuses, declaring she can never salute a criminal.
The Thakur family attends the funeral, unaware of the deception. Later, Suraj stares at Gungroo’s photograph, grieving that Kalikant even denied him the right to immerse his ashes. Jagriti consoles him, and Suraj admits he feels no sorrow but rather satisfaction, openly saying he is happy Kalikant is finally dead.
