The episode begins with The police inspector says they suspect Jhanak, but he wants to know whether Jhanak suspects anyone. Jhanak replies she doesn’t suspect anyone. DIG asks her why she accepted the theft. Jhanak says she got scared that Rishi may lose his job; that’s why she lied that she stole the jewel. The police inspector asks her whether she thinks someone framed her. Jhanak tells him that she doesn’t know anything about that.
DIG asks her why the college threw her out of the hostel. Jhanak says she was accused of doing puja to a skull. But the truth is she was doing puja to her mother’s photo only. And she doesn’t know who kept the skull in her hostel room. DIG says everyone is wrong except Jhanak, according to her. Jhanak says she decided to go to her village, but Aditi took her home.
DIG asks Jhanak about her and Rishi’s marriage. Jhanak replies she got married to Rishi due to her villagers, so they did not accept the marriage. Constable asks Jhanak why the latter is trying to ruin Rishi’s marriage life. Jhanak says she never did that. She asks them to question her about theft only. She says many people’s fingerprints were found on the jewel and bag, so why are they sure she is the thief? DIG says Jhanak got so many benefits because of Aditi, but still the latter is trying to ruin the Chatterjee family. Jhanak tells him that she did not steal the jewel.
Meanwhile, outside the police station, Putul tells Rishi that she is worried about Jhanak. Dadabhai says the police are trying to prove Jhanak is a theft. Rishi tells them that he will prove Jhanak is innocent. He says he knows Jhanak lied when DIG talked about his job. But Jhanak should not have admitted she stole the jewel. The police inspector asks her why she is threatening Aniruddh with a DNA test. Jhanak asks what the connection is with both matters.
DIG asks her whether she will be allowed to enter the college after knowing this. Jhanak says she is there for interrogation, and her crime has not been proved yet. So it won’t affect her studies. Constable tauntingly says Jhanak is really smart. Jhanak says she lives alone in Kolkata, so she has to be smart. DIG says Jhanak will be punished if she is found guilty then.
Jhanak says she will accept the punishment if they get proof against her then. DIG asks her to write and accept that she stole and she won’t do it again. Jhanak asks him why she would do that when she is innocent. The police inspector says Jhanak’s career will be ruined if she talks to them like this. Jhanak asks them to punish her if they can prove her guilty then. She says she won’t accept that she stole the jewel. And it’s her final decision.
Aditi comes there with Aniruddh. Aditi tells Rishi that she convinced Aniruddh to withdraw the complaint. Rishi says he is shocked that Aniruddh agreed. Aniruddh says he agreed for Aditi’s sake. Rishi says Jhanak is innocent. Aditi tells him that it’s not time to argue and they should reach the solution. Rishi says the truth will come out. Aditi asks him whether he thinks she is trying to frame Jhanak. And why would she do that when she brought Jhanak home? Aniruddh tells Aditi that she will lose everything because of Jhanak. Aditi tells him that she is scared of that. She asks him to withdraw the complaint and leaves from there. Rishi sends Putul and Dadabhai from there.
Aniruddh goes inside and greets DIG. DIG tells Aniruddh that Jhanak is not accepting her crime. Aniruddh tells DIG that he wants to withdraw the case because Aditi requested him to do that. Jhanak tells DIG that she doesn’t want anyone’s sympathy. Aniruddh tells her that Rishi can’t save her but only him. Jhanak says truth is with her, so she will fight. Aniruddh gives a withdrawal letter to DIG. Jhanak leaves from there.
On the other side, Neelu tells Indumati that Mishti did not go to college today. And she thinks Mishti got scared seeing police. Mishti recalls how Aditi told her to hide the jewel in Jhanak’s bag and how the police arrested Jhanak. She wonders whether police will arrest her too. Indumati asks Mishti what happened. Mishti says she is scared. Neelu says that fingerprint is not a big deal. Indumati notices Mishti has a fever. Neelu brings medicine and gives it to Mishti. She says Mishti will feel better later. Mishti says she really did not steal. Indumati tells Mishti that they know that. Mishti asks what if the police arrest her. She cries. Indumati asks Mishti not to overthink. She tells Neelu to take Mishti to the room. Mishti says she won’t go anywhere. Indumati says she will stay with Mishti. She takes Mishti from there. Mishti asks God to save her.
In the police station, Rishi asks Jhanak whether she is fine. Jhanak nods at him. Sanjhbati and Dritimaan come there. Jhanak asks Sanjhbati whether the latter also thinks she stole. Sanjhbati says she would not have come there if she thought like that then. Dritimaan tells Jhanak that they came to take her home. Aniruddh asks Rishi not to forget Jhanak got released due to his sympathy. Rishi says Jhanak would have been released after investigation too because she is innocent.
Later, Kaka asks Sanjhbati whether she came alone. Sanjhbati replies, “Dritimaan dropped her.” Kaka tells her to ask Dritimaan to come inside. Dritimaan comes there. Kaka asks Dritimaan whether the latter will stay in Kolkata or return abroad. Dritimaan replies he did not decide anything yet. Kaka says they don’t have any problem with marriage if Dritimaan decides to stay in Kolkata then.
In the college, Ayush tells Jhanak that he heard about the theft case. Jhanak asks him whether he also thinks she is a thief. Ayush tells her that he trusts her. Mishti and her friends come there and call Jhanak a thief.
