The episode begins with Tanushri saying they will cut off all ties with Rishi if he accepts Jhanak as his wife. Payal asks whether Rishi did not stop Aditi. Aditi says Rishi told her to stay in Simulboni until Nutan’s shradh gets over. But Rishi chose Jhanak over her, so how can she stay there? Tanushri tells Aditi that they are with her. Indumati says they know what Rishi is doing. She thinks villagers did black magic on Rishi.
Aditi asks them not to blame others for Rishi’s actions because he went to Simulboni willingly. She says Rishi already accepted his marriage with Jhanak. Tanushri says she won’t let Rishi enter the house with Jhanak. Aditi says Rishi is an adult, and he can stay anywhere with his wife. And she won’t forgive Rishi, so he has to face the consequences.
In the Simulboni, Nutan’s shradh begins. Parashar asks Nutan why she left him and Jhanak. Jhanak misses her mother and cries. She thinks her world has collapsed because she lost both her mother and father. The priest calls Jhanak to sit. Rishi tells Jhanak to go and sit. Jhanak says she doesn’t have the courage to do this. And she can’t say goodbye to her mother. Rishi tells her that she has to do this.
Jhanak says her mother was her everything. Rishi tells her that she has her mother’s blessings. He says Jhanak is her mother’s shadow. And he won’t break the promise he made to Nutan. Jhanak goes and sits near Priest. Rishi also sits. Jhanak performs the pind daan ritual. Rishi wonders what’s happening with him and why he is sad seeing Jhanak in this state. Parashar consoles the crying Jhanak.
The next day, Jhanak gives food to Rishi and asks him to eat on the way. Rishi says he would have eaten in Dhaba. Jhanak tells him that he prefers homemade food; that’s why. Rishi tells her to study well for exams. Jhanak decides to hide from Rishi that she has a fever. She thinks she is hurt. Rishi is leaving, but she doesn’t have the right to tell him anything. Rishi tells her that Nutan is with her always. He asks her to believe time will change everything.
Jhanak tells him that he can’t go on an empty stomach. Rishi asks her to give him bread if she has any then. Jhanak tells him that Parashar brought it for him. Rishi gives money to her. Jhanak says she doesn’t need that. Rishi asks her to return this money to him when she starts earning. Jhanak accepts the money and says she is not greedy. Rishi tells her that he knows that. He asks her to fulfill Nutan’s dream. Jhanak says no one was like Nutan. Rishi says one day Jhanak will get everything that she lost.
