The episode begins with Rishi going to Jhanak’s room and accepting that what happened downstairs was wrong. He tells her to never do kitchen work even if anyone asks her to do it. Jhanak asks him not to stand up for her because she handled the matter by herself. Rishi asks her to not make it an ego problem. Jhanak says she would have left this house if she had an ego problem then. Rishi asks her to focus on her studies only. Jhanak says she can’t eat free food.
Rishi says his family members can’t easily digest that he is talking about divorce. Jhanak asks him then why he is talking about divorce. Rishi tells her that his relationship with Aditi ended. And Aditi has been changed. Jhanak tells him that his marriage with Aditi won’t become fake. And how can Rishi leave Aditi, who loved him and supported him till now? She says she is a stranger for Rishi. Rishi tells her that she is saying it like this because her self-respect is hurt.
Jhanak asks him what he knows about her. She reminds him that he was in a relationship with Aditi for many years. Rishi tells her that he knows her more than anyone else. That’s why he supported her in everything. Jhanak tells him thanks for his support. She asks him to not forget he and Aditi are still husband and wife. And his family’s reactions are justified. Rishi asks her to understand he loves her. Neelu comes there and sees them from outside the room.
Jhanak tells Rishi that his family will never accept her daughter-in-law. She says it’s about family matters, and she doesn’t want to become a burden. And even she would have reacted like them if she was in their place then. Rishi asks her not to talk like this. Jhanak tells him that he thinks everything will be fine once he marries her after divorcing Aditi. But that won’t happen because everyone will say she broke the marriage. Rishi asks her not to think negatively. And everyone will accept Jhanak with time.
Jhanak tells him that even they did not accept the marriage in the past. And Rishi would have lived happily with Aditi if his colleague had not exposed their marriage then. She says Rishi had been changed, like Aditi says. Rishi says it’s not like that. Jhanak says her and Aditi’s story is similar to Arshi and Nutan’s story. And Aniruddh gave so many promises to Nutan, but they know what happened in the end. Rishi promises to never break Jhanak’s heart. Jhanak tells him that she trusts him, but she can’t forget what happened with Nutan. And she wants peace; that’s it. Neelu thinks Rishi is behaving immaturely.
Rishi asks Jhanak whether he is the wrong person. Jhanak shook her head. She says everyone will blame her if she accepts him then. Rishi tells her to give him time, and he will handle everything. Neelu starts recording it. Rishi asks Jhanak what he is doing wrong. He says Aditi can’t be happy with him even if she lives with him. Jhanak asks whether he thinks they can be happy together. Rishi holds her hand and says they will be happy together because they love each other. And everything will be fine if they support each other then. Neelu records it.
On the other side, Aniruddh asks Aditi’s opinion about Koushik. Aditi asks how she can say anything when she met him only yesterday. Arshi says Koushik is a simple and rich guy. Aditi tells them that rich people are good people for them. Aniruddh tells her it’s not like that. He asks her to divorce Rishi. Arshi says they want Aditi to marry Koushik. And Koushik’s parents want Aditi as their daughter-in-law. Aditi asks them not to pressure her like this. Aniruddh tells her that it’s just a marriage proposal, not pressure. Aniruddh says Rishi doesn’t deserve Aditi, and he won’t leave Jhanak. Arshi agrees with him. She says they want Aditi’s happiness. So Aditi should move on.
Aditi asks Aniruddh whether he is still thinking of giving his property to Jhanak. Aniruddh says he wanted to do that to shut Jhanak’s mouth. He thinks he had to give an explanation to give property to his daughter. He tells Aditi that he knows she is not interested in property. Aditi says she doesn’t want to be respected due to property. And her identity should not be high-level due to property. Arshi asks Aditi to think about Koushik. And Koushik likes Aditi so much. Aditi asks how Arshi can say this. And she did not think from that angle at all. She refuses to divorce Rishi. Aniruddh tells her that he wants her to be happy, that’s it. Aditi tells her that she will think about it.
Later, Tanushri tells Indumati that she is scared. Indumati says Rishi will realize his mistake. Tanushri talks about the incident that she saw between Rishi and Jhanak on Christmas Day. Neelu comes there and says Tanushri is right. She shows the video to them. Tanushri says she could not believe Rishi became like this. Indumati says they should wait until Rishi realizes his mistake. Tanushri says she will do something.

Precap: Aniruddh tells Rishi that Aditi may appeal for divorce. So he wants Rishi to marry Jhanak after getting a divorce from Aditi. On the other side, Koushik tells Aditi that he wants to marry her.
Our Take: Rishi keeps claiming his relationship with Aditi ended because she has been changed. But he is forgetting everything between them changed due to his lie. And he is conveniently putting all the blame on her. Jhanak should leave the Chatterjee house if she really has self-respect then. But she won’t do that and will keep giving lectures about self-respect. Aditi decides to think about divorcing Rishi, which is the right decision. Because Rishi doesn’t deserve her love and her loyalty.
