The episode starts with Amruta telling Virat that they have found a lawyer. Virat replies to Amruta that there is no use in finding a lawyer. He says that no lawyer will fight his case and comments further on the situation. Amruta asks Virat not to speak like that and reassures him.
Priyanka asks Leela to be careful. Leela agrees, hides her face, and leaves. Ishika notices Leela leaving and remarks to Priyanka that Leela looks like a natural actress. Priyanka agrees and adds that she will make sure Virat goes to jail. Ishika asks Priyanka if she is becoming too obsessive about Virat. Priyanka responds sharply.
The lawyer arrives to meet Virat. Shubh also comes to meet him. Virat asks Shubh why he is there. Amruta explains to Virat that Shubh was the one who found the lawyer. She pleads with Virat to cooperate and go with the flow. Virat reluctantly agrees and speaks with the lawyer.
Babita confronts Bhavani, asking why she didn’t say anything when Jayesh threatened to throw them out of the house. Bhavani responds that there is no use talking to Jayesh as he never listens to her. Babita warns Bhavani that Amruta might end up like her—a divorcee—if Virat is proven innocent. Bhavani becomes worried for Amruta after hearing this.
Leela gives her statement to the police inspector. Meanwhile, Amruta is shown talking to the security guard at Leela Bajaj’s house. Pretending to be an investigator, Amruta asks the guard about what happened that day and whether Priyanka ever visited Leela. The guard denies it and allows Amruta to enter Leela’s house. While exploring the house, Amruta senses that something wrong happened there. From her conversation with the guard, she learns that Leela is a struggling actress.
The lawyer tells the lady police inspector that not every accused person is a criminal and that Virat might be innocent. The police inspector comments on Shubh for hiring the city’s best lawyer for his friend’s husband. Shubh questions her, asking what she means by that. The inspector brushes it off and leaves.
In the interrogation room, the lady police inspector kicks a chair away just as Virat is about to sit, causing him to fall to the ground. A tea vendor enters to serve tea to the inspector and takes a picture of Virat before leaving. The police inspector tries to sow doubts in Virat’s mind about Amruta’s loyalty. However, Virat tells the inspector that he knows Amruta will never leave him and adds that he is not jealous of Shubh. Amruta overhears Virat’s words. The lawyer then provides the necessary documents allowing Amruta to meet Virat, and the inspector leaves.
Virat asks Amruta if she has any leads. Amruta shares that she visited Leela’s house and suspects something bad happened there. Virat shares his suspicion that Priyanka might be behind everything. Amruta asks how they can prove it. Virat suggests setting a trap for Leela and tells Amruta to involve Shubh in the plan. Amruta agrees.
The Ahuja family sees a photo of Virat in jail and becomes worried. Babita declares that the police cannot mistreat Virat and decides to teach them a lesson. Wendy, however, says that Virat is getting what he deserves as he is a criminal. Wendy criticizes Babita, saying that she failed to teach Virat how to respect women. Babita defends herself, saying that she always taught Virat to respect women. Wendy counters by reminding Babita of how she supported Rajiv in the past and blamed Amruta when Amruta exposed Rajiv.
