The episode opens with a tense atmosphere as Queenie insists that Khushi show her mangalsutra in front of everyone gathered in the temple. Even as her heart pounds with discomfort, she prepares to reveal the proof that Queenie is demanding. Around this time, Mamta and Rajkumar are also on their way to the temple, having heard about the commotion that is unfolding.
Khushi’s embarrassment intensifies, and she hesitates, unwilling to reveal anything. Her silence only fuels the suspicion in the air. Out of impatience and curiosity, Nandita steps forward, moves aside the cloth draped around Khushi’s neck, and instantly notices that there is no mangalsutra there at all. The entire temple crowd gasps in shock. At that very moment, Khushi spots her parents entering the temple premises. She immediately senses the seriousness of the situation and realizes that if they witness this scene, the consequences will be disastrous.
Queenie continues her interrogation relentlessly, demanding to know why Khushi is not wearing her mangalsutra. Visitors and devotees begin gathering around, eager to witness the drama involving the Mehta family. Feeling cornered, Khushi nervously murmurs that the mangalsutra might have fallen somewhere by accident. Krishna quickly supports her, and together they rush out, pretending to check their car to see if the mangalsutra has dropped there. Outside the temple, Khushi and Krishna frantically begin searching the temple shops, hoping to buy a temporary mangalsutra that resembles her original one. But they find nothing that matches. Realizing the urgency of the situation, Krishna immediately calls his friend Sameer, pleading with him to bring a mangalsutra as fast as he can. Sameer reassures him that within ten minutes, he will arrive with several options in seven or eight different designs.
While waiting, Khushi notices her father approaching nearby, and her fear intensifies. To avoid being seen, she quickly hides behind a shop. Meanwhile, Sameer steps directly in front of Rajkumar, wanting to apologize for his past mistakes. However, Rajkumar remains furious, still hurt by what he sees as Krishna’s betrayal—especially the false statement Krishna had given in court. The humiliation he had faced because of Krishna is something he cannot forget or forgive. Rajkumar declares that he does not even want to see Krishna’s face ever again. The bitterness between the older men leaves Krishna shattered. Khushi, seeing Krishna’s pain, assures him that one day her father’s resentment will fade and he will realize Krishna’s true intentions.
Eventually, Sameer arrives with several mangalsutras, and Khushi carefully picks one that closely resembles her original one. With renewed hope, she and Krishna hurry back toward the temple. But Queenie, already holding the real mangalsutra of Khushi, refuses to believe her and remains determined to expose her in front of everyone.
