The episode opens with Krishna visiting his mother before leaving for Baldev’s house. Just then, Krishna receives a frantic call from his friend Sameer, who reveals that Baldev’s son-in-law, Diljit, is chasing him. Terrified, Sameer abandons the bike in the middle of the road and rushes to the hospital by taking an auto. When Diljit tries to trace him through the bike’s number plate, he realizes he cannot because the vehicle had been borrowed from an automobile service centre.
Before leaving, Krishna requests the hospital receptionist to allow Sameer inside the care home even if he is not present. He also urges Sameer to stay alert, take care of his sick mother, and avoid any situation where Diljit might track him down. Krishna knows that one wrong move could put them both in danger.
Meanwhile, Baldev prepares grandly for Krishna and Khushi’s arrival. He sends luxurious luggage, airline-tagged bags, and expensive gifts meant for presenting to family members, everything to match the lifestyle expected from the descendants of his elite family. When Khushi and Krishna arrive at Baldev’s office room, they are handed several lavish outfits. The intention is clear: they must look like Baldev’s grandson and granddaughter-in-law. As Khushi holds the mangalsutra and places it around her neck, she becomes intensely emotional. She knows deep within that every step she is taking, every lie she is upholding, is solely for the sake of her father’s well-being.
Once dressed, the two step out in their new avatars. Krishna is left speechless when he sees Khushi’s transformation—her elegance, grace, and attire completely mesmerize him. Baldev, too, beams with pride and satisfaction upon seeing how beautifully they fit into the appearance he desired.
Baldev and Nandita organize a magnificent welcome for the couple. As soon as Nandita sees Krishna, her emotions overflow. Sensing the depth of her feelings, Krishna immediately embraces her with love and warmth. But her reaction towards Khushi is completely different—she looks at her with unfamiliarity, almost sensing something off.
As Krishna proceeds to greet the other family members, the atmosphere shifts. Nandita, Vikram, and Diljit refuse to accept the two as Dimpy’s children. Suspicion clouds their expressions. Baldev tries to validate their identities by asking them to present their passports and ID cards. Yet Queenie and Vikram remain unconvinced, believing the documents to be forged.
Trying to salvage the situation, Krishna narrates a few childhood incidents known only to the family, proving he has intimate knowledge of their past. While this shocks some members, Diljit and Vikram continue doubting Khushi. Her accent, her manner of speaking—everything reveals that she may be from a Delhi slum, contradicting the elite background they are supposed to belong to.
Queenie, noticing the tension, deliberately nudges Aradhana, causing the ceremonial lamp to fall. The flame leaps dangerously toward Khushi’s dress. In a moment of instinct, Khushi swiftly puts out the fire with her bare hands, a reflex born from years of hardship. Her reaction stuns everyone, exposing yet another crack in her disguise.
