The episode starts with Mamta and Sweety arrive at the Mehra house to meet Khushi, filling her with emotion at the sight of her mother and sister. Overcome with feelings, Khushi welcomes them warmly and treats them with genuine affection. However, Queenie is unable to tolerate their presence and watches the interaction with visible displeasure. Mamta puts on a false display of love and grief, pretending to be deeply affected by Rajkumar’s death. She subtly blames Khushi for leaving them behind and makes her feel guilty for not being with her maternal family. Despite the taunts and emotional manipulation from her mother and sister, Khushi responds with kindness and embraces them wholeheartedly.
Khushi shares her intention to look for a job, wanting to stand on her own feet. Mamta, however, questions this decision, arguing that as the daughter-in-law of such a wealthy household, Khushi has no need to work. Khushi firmly clarifies that she does not see herself merely as Krishna’s wife and wants to be independent. Mamta and Sweety are clearly anxious about the idea of Khushi leaving the Mehra house and try to discourage her from making any such move. Aradhana politely serves them tea, maintaining the decorum of the house.
Meanwhile, Sunil Gupta, an insurance company representative, visits Baldev’s house to meet Khushi, as she is the nominee of her late father’s life insurance policy. He hands over a cheque of twenty lakh rupees to Khushi. This sudden development silences Mamta and Sweety, who are left speechless by the amount. Seizing the opportunity, Mamta manipulates Khushi emotionally, suggesting that the money should be handed over to them so that Sweety can start her business. Trusting her mother completely, Khushi agrees and takes full responsibility for Mamta and Sweety’s well-being. She promises to support them and goes to the extent of giving Mamta her ATM card and passbook, allowing her unrestricted access to her account. Khushi is willing to fulfill all their needs without hesitation.
Krishna observes everything closely and feels that Khushi is being taken advantage of by her own family. Even Sweety is shocked that Khushi has handed over the entire amount so easily. Later, Mamta begins to feel a sense of guilt, realizing how unjustly she has treated Khushi despite her generosity.
Aradhana is deeply moved by Khushi’s selfless nature and generous heart. She wishes Khushi would stay in the Mehra house permanently. Krishna, too, is determined and reassures himself that he will not let Khushi go anywhere.
As Christmas approaches, Khushi makes special efforts to bring joy to the household. Knowing Dimpy’s fondness for Christmas, she arranges beautiful decorations and gifts her a lovely makeup set. During the celebrations, Krishna playfully lifts Khushi so she can place the decoration on top of the Christmas tree. In that moment, Khushi becomes aware of Krishna’s affectionate gesture. She also surprises Dimpy with a thoughtful gift—a charming musical box that plays a soothing lullaby when opened.
Soon, a few guests arrive at the Mehra house to meet Khushi. Some of them deliberately try to provoke Queenie’s jealousy, but Nandita tactfully handles the situation. With Khushi’s support, Dimpy confidently appears before the guests. Recognizing Khushi, they recall a video that once went viral on social media and attempt to humiliate her by accusing her of being a fraud. Krishna immediately steps in, firmly defending Khushi and protecting her dignity, proving once again that he stands by her side.
