The episode opens with Krishna anxiously questioning Anushka about Khushi’s whereabouts, as she is nowhere to be seen in the house. Having already found Khushi’s mobile phone inside the home, Krishna is certain she hasn’t gone out on her own. Anushka repeatedly insists she knows nothing, but her nervous expressions and faltering speech only deepen Krishna’s suspicion. Convinced that Anushka and Queenie are responsible for Khushi’s disappearance, he warns Anushka that if she hides the truth, he will have no choice but to inform Baldev and Nandita about their mischief.
Terrified of the consequences, Anushka finally breaks down and reveals the whole truth. She pleads with Krishna not to tell Baldev and Nandita, fearing she will be thrown out of the house. Krishna learns that Anushka has locked Khushi inside the store room. Though Anushka repeatedly claims it was just a harmless prank, Krishna is furious at their cruel behaviour toward Khushi. Without wasting another moment, he rushes to the storeroom and frees Khushi, who is shaken and frightened after being trapped in the dark.
Despite their marriage being only a façade, Krishna’s compassion shows the depth of his humanity. He scolds both Queenie and Anushka harshly for tormenting an innocent girl and making her suffer for their selfish amusement. Krishna then tends to Khushi with genuine care, trying to comfort her. Traumatised and emotionally vulnerable, Khushi clings to him and requests that he stay with her until she feels safe again.
When Nandita and Aradhana return home, they immediately notice Khushi’s pale, exhausted appearance and question her about it. They also discover that Khushi single-handedly completed all the household cleaning. Nandita quickly realises that Queenie deliberately gave the servants a day off to trouble Khushi. Queenie, on the other hand, grows increasingly anxious, fearing Krishna might expose their entire conspiracy to the family.
Later, Nandita speaks privately with Khushi to understand how she was treated in their absence. But Khushi hides everything and refuses to reveal Queenie’s cruelty, protecting the family despite her pain. Seeing Khushi’s innocence, Nandita is reminded of her own daughter, Dimpy. As the conversation continues, Khushi unknowingly describes Dimpy’s traits, and suddenly realises how similar Nandita is to Dimpy. Before leaving, Nandita advises her to never remove her mangalsutra.
However, Khushi does not wear the mangalsutra at night. She feels guilty, as though she is deceiving Nandita by pretending to be Krishna’s wife. That night, she again prepares a bed on the floor despite Krishna’s repeated requests for her to sleep on the bed, wanting her comfort. Much later, Anushka sneaks into their room and finds them sleeping apart. She quickly clicks a picture, hoping to use it as proof that their marriage is a sham. But realising the photo alone isn’t enough to expose them, she takes a more drastic step—stealing Khushi’s mangalsutra.

Precap: Rajkumar will arrive in the house of Baldev and will discover his daughter Khushi. To see the father Khushi will be totally puzzled and will try to hide her face immediately behind Krishna.
