The episode opens with Khushi arriving at Sunila’s house with a bundle of one lakh rupees — the amount she had promised to return as compensation. With determination and honesty in her eyes, Khushi hands over the entire sum, fulfilling her word. She mentions that though she comes from a poor background, her intentions have never been dishonest. Sunila, the chairperson, is deeply surprised by Khushi’s integrity and the effort she made to gather such a large amount within a short period. Even Sunila’s husband feels ashamed and saddened, realizing how harshly they had judged a girl of such strong character and moral strength.
Meanwhile, another dramatic turn unfolds in the family of Baldev. His son Karan is arrested by the police for theft. The officer explains that Karan was caught red-handed while trying to sell a gold chain. During interrogation, Karan confesses the truth — he had stolen the chain from his father’s bag, which was full of jewelry. However, he insists that he took only one piece. The entire family is left shocked by this confession. Baldev, the father, is questioned by both the police and family members about why he had so much jewelry in the house. When asked to produce the bag, he hesitantly brings it forward. The sight of the large collection of ornaments leaves everyone puzzled. When confronted, Baldev fabricates a story, saying that the local jewelry store had gone out of order and he had brought the ornaments home for safekeeping. His lie fails to convince anyone completely. Karan, on the other hand, faces a severe scolding from his grandfather for his shameful act.
On the other side, Khushi’s condition worsens. After spending the previous night outside without shelter, she develops a high fever. Seeing her unwell, her father Rajkumar becomes extremely worried and angry at his wife Mamta for showing cruelty toward their daughter. Mamta, however, remains unmoved and refuses to care for Khushi. Despite Rajkumar’s insistence on taking her to a doctor, Khushi chooses to go alone, not wanting to cause further conflict at home.
Fate intervenes when Khushi and Krishna both end up at the same hospital for entirely different reasons. Krishna’s mother has been admitted once again due to her illness. At the same time, Khushi spots Krishna there and notices him accompanying an elderly woman — the same lady Khushi had once rescued. Misinterpreting the situation, Khushi assumes Krishna is trying to kidnap the woman. She raises a public alarm, accusing him in front of everyone.
Despite Krishna’s repeated explanations that the woman is his mother, Khushi refuses to believe him. In her misplaced sense of justice, she takes the woman to her own home, while Krishna and his friend are humiliated and beaten by the onlookers. Later, when Krishna returns home, he learns that Khushi — the same girl who misunderstood him — is actually the one who had earlier saved his mother’s life, leaving him both shocked and emotional.
