The episode starts with Mahadev and his family returning home, where they hear Bhanu’s family giving gifts to guests. Dubey, in his drunken state, tells Mahadev that they consumed alcohol and meat, so they are unable to attend his function which he has conducted in the temple. He says they will attend his celebration another day, then leaves. Both Dheeraj and Satya comment on Bhanu and the villagers’ actions. Mahadev asks Dheeraj to remove all the decorations from the house. Dheeraj obliges.
Mahadev proceeds to enter the house, but Bhanu uses a conch to make a sound from her balcony that stops him. Bhanu meets Mahadev and starts insulting him for his failed attempt to celebrate his wedding anniversary. Mahadev loses his cool, so he severely criticizes Bhanu for serving meat and alcohol to the villagers to prevent them from attending their function. He also taunts Bhanu for not having a family by her side like him. Rajji intervenes and asks Bhanu not to pay attention to Mahadev and his family, who are upset after losing the competition. Dheeraj questions whether they took this as a serious competition and stooped so low. Yash angrily approaches Dheeraj, but Ketan steps in front of him. Bhanu asks Yash to stop. Yash obliges.
Bhanu continues her insults toward Mahadev, saying that he is always hiding behind someone else. She also reminds Mahadev that he is an orphan who betrayed her family and snatched her sister from her by trapping her in love. Vidya intervenes and tells Bhanu that Om Prakash is not only Bhanu’s father but her father too, who has accepted their relationship, but it’s Bhanu who is stubborn. She also confronts Bhanu about her hatred toward her and her family and asks why she can’t see the love Mahadev has for her and accept them. She then pleads with Bhanu to have a cordial relationship with them like a neighbor. Bhanu holds Vidya’s hand and says that she wants to reconcile their relationship, which surprises everyone. Vidya gets hopeful too, but Bhanu says that she wants to know Mahadev’s surname. Vidya gets hurt. Dheeraj takes a firm stand for Mahadev, but Bhanu asks him not to interfere when the elders are speaking. She then threatens Mahadev that one day his family will be separated too because of his son’s wife.
After entering the house, Mahadev completely breaks down. Everyone gets sad. Just then, a poor man arrives and asks for some food. Mahadev and his family happily serve him and a few more poor people. Mahadev gets happy, which he expresses to Vidya, saying these are the people meant to have their food. Bhanu sees this from her balcony and gets furious. Radha hides her happiness.
At night, Vidya notices Mahadev’s sudden shift in mood, so she asks him the reason behind it. Mahadev tells her that he is upset with himself for easily getting angry. He is angry at her parents and the people in society. He further expresses his fear to Vidya about Bhanu’s threat that one day their son’s wife will separate their family. Vidya comforts him. The next day, after the puja, everyone takes Mahadev’s blessings and then leaves, except Dheeraj, who faces Mahadev’s criticism for wearing modern clothes. After Mahadev leaves, Vidya advises Dheeraj to change his clothes to get college fees from Mahadev. Dheeraj gets upset. Meanwhile, Ketan faces Mahadev’s questioning for receiving a call from a person named Narmada, while a girl is seen at the bus stop continuously calling someone.
Precap: Bhanu angrily enters Mahadev’s house with Rajji and Yash by her side. She vows not to spare Mahadev’s son if he tries to trap Rajji in his love by showing the love letter. Mahadev gets shocked.
Our take: Bhanu’s continued threat of family separation puts Mahadev in constant fear of losing his family. This shows the love he has for his family, even though he may act strict with his children. Ketan’s nervousness when he faced Mahadev’s question about Narmada showed a possible love interest, which may bring some twists in the near future.
