The episode begins with Mangal preparing a cake for Ishana’s birthday. She receives a message from Sonu, who congratulates her on her upcoming marriage with Kapil. Kusum arrives and compliments the cake. Mangal hopes Ishana will like it. Kusum then asks if she has invited Kapil and Pratima. Mangal avoids answering and leaves, making up an excuse.
Meanwhile, Kapil is seen sleeping in his room. Pratima returns home and turns on the lights, only to be startled by Kapil’s sudden presence. She questions his behavior and mentions that she heard Mangal had come over. Pratima says she would have shown the designs to Mangal and proceeds to call her. Kapil stops her, saying there’s no need—Mangal won’t come. He reveals that Ishana overheard his conversation with Pratima and told everything to Mangal. As a result, Mangal has called off the wedding. Pratima argues that a relationship can’t be broken so easily. Kapil responds, saying it’s Mangal’s decision and they must respect it, then walks away.
Elsewhere, Adit asks Sowmya to help with the decorations. She initially refuses, claiming Ishana wouldn’t like them. Adit insists she would, and Sowmya reluctantly agrees. Akshat tells Mangal he’s waiting for Kapil to arrive at the birthday but hasn’t received confirmation from “buddy mom” yet, and leaves. Sowmya then taunts Mangal, saying this will be Ishana’s last birthday here, and the next will be at Kapil’s house. She adds sarcastically that Mangal is lucky to always get more than she deserves, including men, and remarks that Adit has nothing—not even children. Mangal calmly tells Sowmya to let her focus on the birthday arrangements. Just then, Mangal receives a call and is shocked by what she hears. She rushes off, saying she’s on her way.
Mangal reaches Pratima’s house and asks what happened, mentioning someone had called to say Pratima was unwell. Pratima admits she made that person call. Mangal says she left her child’s birthday preparations to come here. Pratima explains that Mangal only heard half the truth and called her to show the full picture. Mangal reiterates that she already made her decision. Pratima then shows Mangal the kids’ room that Kapil decorated for Ishana and Akshat. She explains that it was meant as a surprise and shows how Kapil has planned everything for the children, including their schooling. She adds that Kapil has accepted Mangal’s children wholeheartedly.
When Mangal questions what she overheard, Pratima clarifies that she foolishly asked Kapil if he could ever take Adit’s place. Kapil had said he couldn’t be their father but would always be their friend. Unfortunately, Ishana only heard that part and misled Mangal. Pratima urges Mangal to see how much Kapil cares for her kids and asks her not to end the relationship over a misunderstanding. Mangal begins to regret her actions. Pratima then shows her the gift Kapil bought for Ishana’s birthday. Mangal, moved, asks Pratima to attend the birthday party with Kapil. Pratima agrees.
Back at home, Ishana is happily taking selfies when Akshat interrupts, leading to a sweet and playful banter. Mangal arrives home. Kusum tells her to quickly get ready before the guests arrive. Ishana starts enjoying with her friends. Adit takes their photos. Calling bell rings. Mangal goes to open the door. She sees Kapil and Pratima has arrived. She welcome them. Mangal is about to apologise to Kapil for scolding him. Kapil says it’s fine as you scold me with right and we are becoming couple so it’s fine. Mangal smiles. Adit gets upset seeing Mangal and Kapil. Ishana asks Adit why he is not taking their photos. She turns and sees Kapil with Mangal and thinks Why he came. Mangal tells Kapil that tomorrow i will talk to Ishana and clear her confusion. Kapil thinks Ishana is smart and she will understand. Ishana decides to teach a lesson to Kapil.
