The episode starts with Neel telling Kusum that no one in the house accepts him. He says it feels like he isn’t destined to have a family. He recalls that on his birthday, he was slapped, his friends were thrown out, and now he too is being humiliated. He says that today is also his birthday, but only Ishana’s friends came, and Ishana enjoyed with them while introducing him as her cousin brother. Neel adds that Mangal treats Ishana like her daughter, while he feels like an outsider.
Mangal asks Neel to stop acting and reminds him that he knows what mistake he made. Neel says she is still scolding him and declares that he will leave the house. Kusum stops him, saying, “You are the eldest son of this family, and you will stay here.” Neel insists that problems arise because of him, so he will go. He says his friends made some mischief, and Mangal threw them out—now she’s doing the same to him. Kusum pleads with Neel not to leave. She tells Mangal that Ishana also made a mistake by introducing Neel as her cousin. Mangal thinks she understands why Ishana acted that way and tries to argue, but Adit intervenes, saying, “Enough. Neel will stay here, and that’s final.” Kusum sends Neel inside.
Later, Kusum tells Mangal that she was wrong to slap Neel in front of his friends. Mangal says Neel was at fault for what he did to Ishana. Kusum defends him, saying it might have just been childish mischief and that Neel has been away from them, so maybe he lacked proper guidance. She tells Mangal to stop treating Neel as an outsider and reminds her that he is her biological son. Adit tells Mangal to stop differentiating between the kids—she easily forgives Ishana’s mistakes but is too harsh on Neel. Ishana leaves in tears.
Sowmya brings ice cream to Neel, but he says he isn’t hungry. Sowmya tells him it’s hard to stay angry for long and says she understands how tough it is to bear Mangal’s lectures. She advises him to apologize to Mangal once, as that will settle everything and help him win everyone’s support at home. Manipulated by Sowmya, Neel agrees.
Neel kneels before Mangal and apologizes. He promises not to make any more mistakes. Sowmya proudly shows Kusum that Neel is being good. Mangal tells Neel to stop pretending, but Neel insists he’s sincere and admits he hurt Ishana. He vows to follow Mangal’s rules from now on and asks for forgiveness. Kusum asks Mangal to forgive him. Meanwhile, Sowmya goes to Ishana and encourages her to come out of her room and spend time with everyone on her birthday, saying they all love her. Neel continues pleading, and Mangal finally forgives him, hugs him, and warns him not to repeat his mistake. Ishana comes out, sees their hug, and claps sarcastically.
Ishana questions Mangal for hugging Neel, saying she didn’t expect her mother to change. Kusum explains that Neel apologized, but Ishana argues that Neel insulted her in front of her friends and shouldn’t be forgiven so easily. Mangal says parents always forgive their children’s mistakes and asks Neel to apologize to Ishana. Neel refuses, saying, “Mom, I got your forgiveness. I won’t apologize to Ishana.” Ishana says she’s disappointed, adding, “You always stood for what’s right, but now you’re supporting your son. I hate you.”
Meanwhile, Sowmya pours acid on a plant, burning it. She smirks and says, “I’ll use your kids as my pawns, Mangal. I’ll make you lonely, just like I once was.”
