The episode starts with Mangal asking Adit where the perfume in his bag came from. Mangal asks Adit to whom the perfume belongs. Adit says it belongs to Kusum and that he bought it for her. Mangal points out that the bottle looks like it has been used and shows that it’s half empty. Adit responds that it might have leaked in his bag because he didn’t put the cap on properly. Adit then says he’s getting a lot of calls and messages from work and leaves.
Karthik looks at the phone and thinks Lakshmi wants to talk to Mangal, but he doesn’t see what Lakshmi wrote in the notebook. Karthik accidentally spills water on the notebook. Seeing this, Lakshmi thinks about how she will now tell Mangal about Adit wanting to divorce her. Lakshmi prays to the Goddess, hoping that Mangal will find out the truth.
Karthik video calls Mangal and makes her talk to Lakshmi. Karthik tells Mangal how he made soup for Lakshmi and makes a comment about it. Mangal praises Karthik for taking such good care of Lakshmi. Karthik tells Mangal that he will have Lakshmi talk to her later, as she needs to drink her soup now. Mangal agrees and ends the call.
Kusum and Mangal are shown cooking in the kitchen. Mangal tells Kusum that she can’t stand seeing Lakshmi in this situation and comments on it. Later, Mangal asks Kusum if Adit gave her the perfume he bought. Kusum says Adit hasn’t given her anything yet and says she’ll go ask Adit about it. Mangal recalls Adit’s recent behavior and thinks something is wrong. Mangal notices the roti has burned and sets it aside, thinking that Adit is lying to her.
Adit receives a delivery from the delivery boy. Sowmya calls Adit and asks if he picked up the ring for her. Adit says he did and that he’s looking at it now, commenting on how beautiful it is. Sowmya then ends the call.
Adit gets a call from the blackmailer, who comments on Adit’s actions and asks him to look at the photo he sent. Adit sees a picture of him hugging Sowmya. Adit asks the blackmailer what he wants. The blackmailer says he wants Rs 10 lakhs, or he will expose Adit’s relationship with Sowmya to his family.
Akshat accidentally bumps into Adit, causing him to drop the ring. Ishana picks it up and calls for Mangal and Kusum, showing them the solitaire diamond ring. Kusum assumes Adit bought it for Mangal and tells her about it. Mangal asks Adit if he really bought it for her. Adit says yes and explains that he wanted to surprise her. Kusum and the kids encourage Adit to put the ring on Mangal’s hand. Adit reluctantly does so, but after the kids leave, he asks Mangal to return the ring. Kusum asks why he’s asking for it back, and Adit says he wants to engrave their anniversary date on it. Mangal struggles to remove the ring but eventually hands it over to Adit. He takes the ring and leaves. Kusum then tells Mangal to buy 11 sarees for Daan, as tomorrow is Dussehra. Mangal agrees and leaves.
Kusum later visits Lakshmi and talks to her. She then asks Karthik if he has any songs Ishana can use, as her school has asked her to write one. Karthik says he has a few songs and takes some papers out of the cupboard. He accidentally drops them, causing the divorce papers to get mixed with the song papers. Karthik hands the papers to Kusum and asks her to give them to Ishana. Lakshmi worries that if Kusum sees the divorce papers, she might hide the truth from Mangal again, just like last time, and Mangal will still not know the truth.
Meanwhile, Sowmya selects a Chunri with Adit’s name on it. Mangal arrives at the same saree shop where Sowmya is. As Mangal gets tangled with Sowmya’s Chunri, Sowmya quickly hides Adit’s name from her.
