The episode starts with Karthik saying to Gayatri that he can’t do this engagement. Mangal comes to Gayatri and asks Gayatri for some hairpins. Gayatri tells Mangal where they are. Mangal goes to get it.
Gayatri says to Karthik that this engagement will happen and says Lakshmi will make him happy. Gayatri asks Karthik to give her a reason to stop this engagement. Karthik thinks he couldn’t tell the truth to Gayatri. Gayatri leaves from there.
Karthik decides to talk to Lakshmi. Karthik calls Lakshmi but Kusum attends the call as Lakshmi’s phone is being charged. She teases Karthik and cuts the call. Adit comes to Karthik why he is not ready yet. He indirectly taunts Karthik saying Lakshmi is the exact copy of Mangal whom he likes more. He asks Karthik to get ready and leaves from there.
Karthik comes out getting ready. Jia comes to Karthik and congratulates him for the engagement. Karthik says to Jia that his mom misunderstood him and he doesn’t want to get engaged to Lakshmi. Jia asks him to stop his nonsense and says she saw he is happy with Lakshmi. Karthik tells her that he just loves her and wants to get married to her. Jia asks him to stop his drama and warns him to stay away from her.
Gayatri asks Mangal to get the rings. Mangal says she hasn’t brought the rings here as she didn’t know about the engagement. Gayatri says she made all the arrangements and asks Mangal not to worry. Gayatri asks Ishana to bring the rings. Ishana brings the rings.
Karthik says to Gayatri that everything is happening in a hurry and says Lakshmi might be forced to do this engagement. Gayatri says to Lakshmi that if she puts the ring on Karthik’s hand then she will think Lakshmi is accepting this new relationship. Lakshmi puts the ring on Karthik’s hand. Karthik drops the ring and tries to talk to Lakshmi but he is not able to do it. Karthik puts the ring on Lakshmi’s hand. Gayatri thanks Karthik for making this day special to her.
Shanti asks Lipika what is she going to do as she said that there is going to be a blast. Lipika asks Shanti to count to ten. Shanti counts to ten. Nitin makes an entry. Lipika reveals to Shanti that when she told Nitin that Lakshmi is getting engaged and he was pretty angry. Lipika says now Nitin is going to act as if Lakshmi betrayed him and make Karthik and Gayatri break off this engagement.
Nitin tries to feed sweet to Lakshmi as she got engaged but Adit takes the sweet and throws it on his face. Mangal asks Nitin to leave from here. Nitin says he will leave after he gets his answers. Nitin reminds Mangal how she rejected him for Lakshmi when he came to their house for asking Lakshmi’s hand in marriage as he was once married and he hid the truth that his wife is dead. Nitin says to Mangal that Karthik has a girlfriend and asks Mangal why did she allow this engagement to happen. Mangal says Karthik doesn’t have a girlfriend. Nitin comments and says everyone know Karthik has a girlfriend and asks Karthik if he hasn’t told Mangal about his girlfriend and asks Karthik if he is going to keep Lakshmi as his mistress.
