The episode starts with a group of people attacking Adit’s house by throwing stones. Adit, Sowmya, and Kusum hide along with Akshat. Kusum asks who the attackers are, and Adit replies that he doesn’t know. He tells them to stay hidden and says he’ll check who is outside.
When Adit opens the door, the crowd pours black paint on him. They accuse him of misbehaving with women. One woman says Adit keeps changing wives and is now eyeing other employees, even molesting them. Kusum is shocked and starts crying. Sowmya questions Adit, asking if he has been betraying her. The colony people say they’ll punish him and try to drag him outside to make him wear a garland of slippers.
Suddenly, Adit comes out of his imagination. He thinks to himself, “Everyone already considers me guilty. How can I face my children? I can’t handle this.” He is about to jump from the balcony when Mangal stops him and asks what he’s doing. Adit says he wants to end his life. Mangal stops him and insists that he must not give up. Adit explains that he never saw Ananya in a wrong way, but no one believes him, and his life is ruined because everyone sees him as a culprit.
Mangal helps him stand and encourages him to fight for himself and his family, telling him not to give up and to prove his innocence. She reminds him of what will happen to Kusum and the kids if he dies. Adit hugs her and says he can’t tell Amma (Kusum) the truth because she won’t be able to handle it—she’s already worried about him. As he is about to collapse, Mangal holds him.
Meanwhile, Kusum prays at a temple, sensing that Adit is in some kind of trouble. Pratima also arrives at the same temple, speaking on the phone with Kapil, instructing him not to spare the culprit as it affects the company’s reputation. Kusum overhears and asks Pratima if something is wrong. Pratima tells her that Adit is the culprit who misbehaved with a girl in the office, and that Mangal will punish him.
People from the colony overhear the conversation. Kusum insists her son is innocent. Pratima says she regrets recommending Adit for the job. A colony lady comments that since Adit cheated on his wife, he’s capable of anything. Pratima supports Mangal and warns that she will take action. Kusum walks away in tears.
Later, Adit vents his frustration to Mangal, saying that people always believe a woman’s tears over the truth. He accuses her of manipulating Kapil to hire him with conditions and says she is just like other women who use opportunities for their benefit. Mangal is stunned and asks what condition he’s referring to. Adit claims that he got the job only because she made a deal with Kapil—to allow her to meet the kids. He accuses her and Kapil of being partners in this manipulation.
Mangal is shocked and thinks about why Kapil didn’t inform her about this.
Mangal takes Adit home. Adit insists he hasn’t done anything wrong. She helps him lie down on the sofa and is about to cover him with a duvet when Kusum enters. Kusum tells Mangal to stay away from her son. Mangal shows concern for Kusum and asks if she’s alright.
Kusum scolds Adit, saying she warned him not to work for Mangal, and now his character is being questioned. Mangal tries to explain, but Kusum lashes out, accusing her of framing Adit. She asks if Mangal wants to send him to jail. Mangal denies it and says the truth will come out tomorrow.
Sowmya, watching everything, thinks to herself, “The truth must never come out, or I’ll be finished.”
