The episode starts with Bua Ji and Pratima asking Mangal to come to the mandap to marry Kapil, but Mangal refuses, saying she can’t go anywhere leaving Akshat in this state. Chinta Bua falls at Mangal’s feet and pleads with her to come and marry, otherwise, they will get humiliated. Mangal asks her to understand her situation. The doctor comes, checks Akshat, gives him an injection, and tells Mangal that Akshat will be fine. Chinta Bua thinks Mangal only cares for her own family.
Akshat gains consciousness, and everyone feels happy. In tears, Akshat hugs Mangal and asks if she is fine. Mangal asks why he is saying that, as she is perfectly fine. Akshat says he felt she wouldn’t reach the venue on time. Chinta Bua gestures to him not to reveal anything. She tells Mangal that Akshat is fine, so she should come and marry Kapil.
Mangal asks Akshat why he went to that risky room. Akshat says he didn’t go there on his own — Chinta Bua and Bijli locked him inside. Everyone is shocked. Chinta Bua asks him to stop lying. Akshat says he heard Chinta Bua’s plan to lock Mangal in the parlour, so she locked him in the inverter room instead. Kusum says Chinta Bua raised her hand at Akshat, so she believes Akshat is telling the truth. Chinta Bua insists that Akshat is lying. Mangal asks Ishana to take Akshat inside. Akshat refuses, but Mangal convinces him. Chinta Bua asks Kapil to believe her, saying she has never hit any child.
Mangal confronts Chinta Bua, asking why she locked Akshat in the room. Chinta Bua starts acting innocent. Kapil says it’s a misunderstanding and that Chinta Bua could never do such a thing. Mangal says Akshat is not lying — he is right — and that she was locked in the parlour, which makes it clear this is a conspiracy. Kapil says Chinta Dadi wants their marriage to happen, so why would she lock Mangal in the parlour? Mangal says Kusum’s mother saw Chinta Bua raising her hand at Akshat, and if Kapil believes Chinta Bua is right, then Kusum will also leave.
Chinta Bua starts crying. Kapil consoles her and asks Mangal not to blame Bua Dadi just because of Akshat’s story. Mangal says Kapil is Akshat’s best friend and Akshat wants them to get married, so he would never lie — she trusts her son. Kapil says just as Mangal trusts Akshat, he too trusts Bua Dadi. Mangal says his Bua Dadi doesn’t want their marriage to happen. She says Bua Dadi doesn’t like her or her kids and wants to stop the marriage.
Chinta Bua says she wants the marriage to happen, otherwise, why would she come there with the baarat? Lipika asks if that’s the case, why did she force her to marry Kapil when her sister Mangal didn’t reach on time? Mangal tells Kapil that Bua Dadi was the one who sent her to the parlour, and it seems like Bua Dadi wanted him to marry Lipika instead. That’s why she locked Mangal in the parlour, and when Akshat overheard her plan, she locked him in the room too. “This is the truth,” says Mangal.
Kapil asks Pratima if she knew about Bua Dadi asking Lipika to marry him. Chinta Bua says she only asked Lipika to marry him to save both families’ reputation since the bride wasn’t present at the mandap. Chinta Bua cries and tells Kapil that she’s being insulted without any fault of her own.
Pratima tells Mangal that whatever Bua Dadi did was for the family’s respect and that they can discuss it later after the marriage. She adds that after the marriage, all problems will be solved as Mangal and her kids will come to live with them, and the children will stay with their grandparents. Mangal is shocked. She reminds Kapil that he had promised her the kids would stay with them after marriage, then asks what this means.
