The episode starts with Mangal going into a changing room to try on a dress. The lights start flickering, and the dresses in Mangal’s changing room catch fire. The customers and everyone in the shop rush out due to the smoke.
Adit asks Kusum if she is alright. Kusum says Mangal is stuck in the fire. Adit tells Kusum not to worry and says the fire brigade is on the way. Shanti urges Adit to do something to save Mangal.
Lakshmi pushes away those holding her and runs into the fire to save Mangal. Mangal comes out of the changing room and sees she is surrounded by flames. Kusum pleads with Adit to save Mangal. Adit rushes into the fire.
Adit wonders why things like this always happen to Mangal. He reaches Mangal and carries her out of the fire.
Kusum asks Mangal if she is alright. Shanti thanks Adit for rescuing Mangal. Adit is shown with a burn on his hand. Adit’s family leaves the scene.
At Adit’s home, Ishana and Akshat praise Adit for heroically saving Mangal from the fire. They hug him. Mangal asks them to leave Adit alone so he can rest. Ishana and Akshat also tell Mangal to take care of herself.
Mangal brings turmeric and sandalwood mix for Adit, saying it will relieve his burn. She tells Adit she thought she would die in the fire, but he came like an angel and saved her. Adit notices Kusum watching them. He applies the mixture to Mangal’s burns and asks her to apply it to herself first, as she is also hurt. Mangal says tomorrow is the Mehendi ritual and that the Mehendi will cool her burns. Kusum watches and hopes Adit will change and have a fresh start with Mangal.
Lakshmi reflects on Adit’s behavior. Karthik comes to Lakshmi and ties a sacred thread on her, saying it will protect her from evil. He asks why she seemed surprised when he touched her hand. Lakshmi tells Karthik that Adit hesitated to enter the fire to save Mangal, but eventually went in. She says she doesn’t understand why Adit didn’t immediately try to save Mangal. Karthik explains that sometimes people get scared in such situations and advises Lakshmi not to overthink it. He then gives her a head massage to relax her. Gayatri witnesses this.
Adit’s family is shown preparing for the Mehendi function. Lipika arrives and tells Adit about Lakshmi talking to Karthik on the phone about Sowmya’s boyfriend, making a comment on it.
Adit decides to talk to Sowmya before she arrives and causes trouble. He unblocks Sowmya’s phone number. Kusum asks Adit to join the function. Adit makes an excuse, saying he has to go to the office. Kusum insists he won’t be going anywhere today.
