The episode starts with Mangal coming into the hall with her luggage and asking Ishana why she is not ready yet, reminding her that they need to shift to their new house. Ishana says she wants to stay in this house with Dad and Dadi and does not want to shift. Mangal tells her that she is doing everything for them, so she should understand. Ishana insists that she doesn’t want to go anywhere and says she is tired of all this.
Adit comes and supports Ishana, saying she will stay here. Neel arrives. Mangal tries talking to him, but Adit says that Neel will also not go with her. Neel says he came from the basti and doesn’t want to go back to the same place with her. Adit declares that Neel will stay here with his family.
Akshat arrives, holds Mangal’s hand, and says he will stay with her. Mangal feels happy. She says she doesn’t want to force anyone and if her children wish to come to her, they can — her house doors are always open. She leaves with Akshat.
Sowmya goes to Neel and tells him not to worry thinking his mom left, as he has his choti mom, and she will never let him feel motherless. She thinks to herself, “Two down, one with Mangal… soon I will bring Akshat back too and leave Mangal all alone.”
Akshat says he is tired. Mangal suggests preparing laddoos together to offer to God and then eat. They start preparing. Akshat asks why Ishana did not come with them. Mangal says that when Ishana misses them, she will come on her own, so he should not worry. They offer laddoos to God and eat.
Mangal reads the newspaper and sees that Pehla Swad food packets harmed children. Shocked, she wonders what happened to her brand. She reads that food officers are raiding Pehla Swad, mothers are questioning the quality, and over 100 children fell sick after consuming it. There is also a possibility of the company shutting down. She hears the doorbell and opens it to see Pehla Swad workers. She welcomes them and asks why they came. They say they got her address from her mother.
Mangal asks who is spreading fake news about Pehla Swad. The workers tell her the news is true and Kapil ji is not focusing on it anymore, and the company may be sold. They fear losing their jobs. Mangal refuses to believe Kapil will shut it down. An employee shows a competition pamphlet which states that whoever can match Pehla Swad taste can take over the company. They ask her to participate to save it. Mangal says she needs time. Akshat encourages her, saying it is her brand and she always treated it like her child. The workers beg. Mangal agrees to save Pehla Swad and says she will compete. They inform her that registration is tomorrow. Akshat says he knows she will win.
The next day, Mangal goes for the registration. Shanti comforts her, saying she can do it. Sowmya also arrives to compete. Shanti questions why she follows Mangal everywhere. Neel comes with Sowmya and gives her the form. Sowmya asks Mangal if she is also participating and mentions it is her brand. She says she came only for experience but she will leave. Mangal says it is an open competition, so she should participate and the deserving person will win.
Both register. Sowmya tells Mangal that fate has again put them against each other. Mangal rebukes her saying she doesn’t care about competitors, only her victory. She asks Neel why he came. Neel says Dadi sent him with Kusum so he couldn’t refuse. He leaves with Sowmya. Shanti comments.
Kusum prepares gondh laddoos and thinks Sowmya is there, asking her to taste, but finds Mangal instead. Mangal questions why she sent Neel with Sowmya, saying he should focus on his studies. Kusum asks which competition she is talking about. Sowmya and Neel return home. Sowmya thanks Kusum for preparing laddoos for her.
Mangal takes Neel to get admission in Ishana and Akshat’s school. The principal asks her to submit all details. Later, after background verification, the principal refuses admission. Mangal is shocked.

Precap: Mangal is at the competition venue when she receives a call from the principal saying they scheduled Neel’s interview as per her request, but he did not come. Mangal is shocked while Sowmya smirks watching her panic.
