The episode starts with Adit telling Sowmya that her friend betrayed her by stealing his work. Sowmya says she didn’t expect it. Kusum arrives and asks Adit what happened. Adit explains how Sowmya’s friend deceived him. Kusum sarcastically asks if all her friends are like this. Sowmya defends herself, saying she was just trying to help Adit. She then asks if he had signed any contract. Adit says no, and in frustration, he throws the papers, one of which falls onto Mangal’s food plate.
Mangal receives a phone call and attends to it. While packing food, she later finds a paper in her food packets. She asks Adit if the paper belongs to him. Adit tells her it is an application form for a start-up firm. He asks Mangal to throw it away. Curious, Mangal asks what a start-up firm is. Sowmya explains that it is a business with a new idea. She tells Mangal not to irritate Adit. Mangal then asks if her idea of drying food could be considered a start-up. Sowmya and Adit mock her, commenting that she is thinking of herself as a businesswoman. Mangal lets it go, saying she was just curious, and leaves.
Later, Mangal goes to the vegetable vendor to buy groceries and notices that he is using a faulty scale. She scolds him and insists that he weigh the vegetables correctly. The Start-up Sultan show staff records the entire incident.
Impressed by her confidence, the show’s staff later approaches Mangal and invites her to participate in the Start-up Sultan show. However, Mangal declines and leaves.
Back home, Mangal talks to Ishana, who notices the leaflet for the show. Ishana asks her about it, and Mangal explains how the show’s staff invited her to participate. Ishana encourages Mangal to take part in the competition, and Mangal agrees.
Mangal visits the Start-up Sultan show counter and requests an application form, stating her desire to participate. The receptionist sees her and mocks her. Mangal argues, saying that their staff invited her, yet now they are insulting her. Sailaja, one of the judges, arrives and asks what’s going on. The receptionist tells her that Mangal wants to participate. Mangal reiterates that she was invited. Sailaja firmly states that no one gets an invitation; participants must apply on their own. Mangal is about to leave when the show’s videographer and a staff member step in, confirming that they were the ones who invited her. They tell Sailaja that Mangal possesses the qualities they are looking for. Hearing this, Sailaja allows Mangal to enroll in the competition.
Mangal returns home and shows the form to Kusum, who praises her. However, she soon notices that Kusum looks worried. When she asks, Kusum shares her concerns about the rising household expenses. Mangal comments on the situation and places her application form at God’s feet before leaving. Sowmya notices this.
Sowmya then goes to Adit and provokes him against Mangal, suggesting that Mangal might be trying to prove she can succeed where he failed. Hearing this, Adit calls for Mangal.
Adit confronts Mangal, asking why she didn’t consult him before entering the competition. Mangal responds by showing him the household bills and says she will take any opportunity to improve their financial situation.
Meanwhile, Karthik looks at Lakshmi and recalls memories from his past. Jia, worried about Karthik’s recollections, deliberately knocks over a candle, causing the tablecloth to catch fire. As Karthik tries to put it out, his hand gets burned.
Seeing this, Gayatri orders Lakshmi to stay away from Karthik. Gayatri and Jia take Karthik to his room and tend to his burns.
Later, Lakshmi enters Karthik’s room, but Gayatri pulls her aside and argues with her. She accuses Lakshmi of trying to harm Karthik and reminds her that the doctor strictly advised them not to stress Karthik into recalling his past. Gayatri declares that, from now on, Lakshmi must stay away from him.
Jia then fuels Gayatri’s anger, claiming that Lakshmi will not stop until Karthik remembers everything. Enraged, Gayatri storms into Lakshmi’s room.
Gayatri starts packing Lakshmi’s bags and tells her to leave the house. Lakshmi pleads with her, but Gayatri refuses to listen. Just then, Karthik enters and notices the luggage. He asks Lakshmi if she is leaving. Turning to Gayatri, he questions where Lakshmi would go since Shanti has already thrown her out of her house. Karthik then firmly states that Lakshmi will stay here and that she is not going anywhere.
