The episode begins with Mangal telling Akshat that they can go shopping after she finishes her work. She asks him to complete his homework in the meantime. Akshat looks upset. Just then, Kapil arrives and asks Akshat when he came and why he looks sad. Akshat replies, “Mom isn’t taking me shopping, and it’s important to buy these things.”
Mangal explains that Ishana is returning tomorrow from her school exchange program, and they’ve planned a surprise for her—so they need to shop for a few items. Kapil offers to take Akshat shopping and says he’ll also treat him to a donut. Mangal says it’s not necessary as her work is almost done, but Akshat pleads with her to let him go with Kapil. Kapil says he’s free now, and finally, Mangal agrees. Adit sees all this from outside. Akshat informs Adit that he’s going shopping with Kapil and leaves. Adit looks on.
Meanwhile, Kusum asks their maid Kamala to get the items Ishana likes and hands her a list. She says she’ll prepare dishes that Ishana loves. Sowmya arrives and criticizes her, saying, “Do you even know how expensive all this is?” She adds that Ishana is now health-conscious like her and won’t eat Kusum’s food, so she should stop. She then sends Kusum away and wonders why Ishana is coming home so early. She tries calling her, but the phone is unreachable.
Mangal is excited about surprising Ishana and books a table at her favorite restaurant. Just as she’s about to leave, a photo frame falls and gets stuck. Feeling uneasy, she tries calling Ishana again, but the phone is still unreachable. Worried, she goes to Adit and asks if he knows when Ishana is returning, her flight details, or her friends’ contact info. Adit assures her that Ishana is probably on the flight and that’s why her phone isn’t working. He asks her to stop worrying. Mangal remains concerned.
Later, Mangal dreams of Ishana crying out for help and being in danger. She wakes up startled and wonders why she’s feeling like Ishana is in trouble. She prays to Maata Rani to protect her daughter and decides to stay close to the kids.
The next morning, parents gather and ask the watchman why the school bus hasn’t arrived yet. He tells them to speak to the Principal. Mangal calls Adit and informs him that the bus hasn’t arrived and the parents are getting worried. Adit tells her not to worry and says he’s coming. Soon, the bus arrives, and the parents happily reunite with their children. Mangal checks the bus and realizes Ishana isn’t there. She confronts the driver, who says he dropped off all the children safely and tells her to speak with the teacher. Mangal becomes more anxious.
Meanwhile, Akshat decorates the house with balloons for Ishana’s surprise. Sowmya wonders why Ishana isn’t answering her calls while everyone is preparing for her welcome.
Mangal meets the Principal and confronts her about Ishana’s absence. The Principal reveals that Ishana left the exchange program a week ago, saying her father was unwell, and later informed them that she had reached home safely. Mangal is shocked and says Adit is perfectly fine—why didn’t they confirm by calling him? The teacher replies that they didn’t want to disturb the family.
Mangal returns home and confronts Adit, telling him that Ishana left the program a week ago. She reminds him that Ishana is his responsibility and asks when he last spoke to her. Adit says Sowmya is the one who regularly speaks to Ishana. Mangal immediately calls Sowmya and questions her. She accuses Sowmya of encouraging Ishana to lie and leave the program. Sowmya tells her to stop creating drama and says it’s okay to lie sometimes.
Mangal scolds Sowmya and warns her not to spoil her daughter. Sowmya replies that Ishana is her daughter now, and Mangal only has permission to visit—so she should stay within her limits. She insists that they are doing everything for Ishana. Mangal says firmly, “Ishana is my daughter, and I won’t let her be influenced by you.”
Sowmya asks Adit to witness how Mangal is insulting her. Adit finally questions Sowmya and says, “You said you know about Ishana’s schedule—then where is she?” Sowmya panics internally and thinks, How can I tell Adit that I gave money to Ishana to enjoy with her friends? She hopes Ishana returns soon, or else the truth will be exposed.
