The episode starts with the Principal telling Mangal that they cannot give Neel admission because they spoke to his previous school and learned that his conduct was bad and he was suspended three times. Neel tells the Principal that he is rejecting the school. He eats the biscuits kept there and leaves in anger. Mangal requests the Principal to give Neel a chance to change, but the Principal refuses. Kusum asks Adit to tell Sowmya not to do any work. Sowmya says she needs to take care of Adit and her kids, so she shouldn’t be stopped.
Mangal explains with an example why Neel deserves another chance. The Principal agrees and asks her to bring Neel the next day at 9:30 a.m. Sowmya tells Kusum that Mangal said she would take care of the kids’ responsibilities, but since Neel is staying there, she wants to share Adit’s responsibilities too. Adit asks Kusum not to worry about Sowmya and says she can manage. Sudesh overhears everything. Sowmya decides to stop Mangal from getting the pehla swad.
Mangal thinks about dropping Neel at school the next day before leaving for the competition. Sowmya collides with her, and Mangal’s papers fall. Sowmya says she will help and starts picking them up. Adit arrives and asks why she is bending. Seeing Mangal, Sowmya says she is just helping. She then intentionally thanks Adit for bringing her favourite ice cream to make Mangal jealous before asking them to talk and stepping aside.
Mangal tells Adit that she filled Neel’s admission form and he needs to sign it so they can pay the fees. Adit says he already paid Akshat and Ishana’s fees and didn’t think of Neel’s. Mangal says all three children deserve an equal future. Adit says it’s difficult as he kept some money in an FD for Sowmya’s child. Mangal says she will manage it. Sowmya overhears and thinks that one day Mangal will need money, and then she will show her power.
Mangal drops Neel at school, wishes him luck for the interview, and leaves for the competition. The Pehla Swad workers wait for her. The anchor announces that the competition will start at 10 a.m., and after five minutes no contestants will be allowed. Sowmya tells the workers that it seems they must start without Mangal. Mangal arrives hurriedly, and Sowmya looks on.
The anchor asks everyone to keep their phones on silent. Mangal prays to Bappa to help her save Pehla Swad. The introduction round begins, where contestants must share their vision for Pehla Swad 2.0. Mangal sees repeated calls from the school Principal. She steps aside, calls back, and learns that Neel didn’t come for the interview. Mangal apologizes and says she had dropped him at school, asking for time to find out what happened. The anchor tells her that using phones during the competition is not allowed. Mangal says she has made her decision.
Later, Mangal reaches the school and asks the watchman about Neel, but he says he didn’t see him. She enquires nearby shops, and one shopkeeper says Neel went in a particular direction. Sunitha calls Mangal, asking her to return as the competition has started. Mangal says she is searching for her son. The anchor asks the contestants to share their vision for the brand. The power goes off at the competition.
Mangal continues searching for Neel and sees some kids playing cards. She doesn’t notice Neel standing nearby watching the game and moves away. The police arrive and arrest the boys. Neel tells the Inspector he was only watching and didn’t play, but the Inspector ignores him and forcefully tries to make him sit in the jeep. Mangal reaches there and sees Neel. When asked who she is, Mangal says she is Neel’s mother.

Precap: Thieves attack Mangal and steal money from her house. Sowmya gives money to the goons and thanks them for doing her work.
