The episode starts with Kusum worrying about Mangal, as Mangal has left the house and hasn’t eaten anything since the morning. Karthik says he will go and search for Mangal in the house. Lakshmi tells Kusum that Mangal might have gone to her parents’ house. Lakshmi calls Shanti and asks if Mangal has come there. Shanti asks Lakshmi why Mangal would come there, as today is Karwa Chauth, and she should be at Adit’s house. Shanti asks Lakshmi to explain what happened. Lakshmi tells Shanti everything. Lakshmi then informs Kusum that Mangal hasn’t gone to Shanti’s house. Kusum blames Adit for the situation. Adit asks Kusum to calm down and says he will go and look for Mangal. Adit cuts Sowmya’s call. When Adit steps outside, he sees Mangal.
Adit tells Mangal that he thought she had left the house. Mangal replies that he should never think she would run away from problems. She tells Adit that while he may not care about relationships, she does. Mangal asks Adit never to think of her as weak and makes further comments about his behavior before walking away.
Karthik suggests to Lakshmi that they should call the police. Sudesh advises Karthik to wait, as Adit might find Mangal and bring her back. Shanti criticizes Adit. She asks Kusum to go find Mangal and bring her back. Just then, Mangal returns, and Kusum asks her where she had gone. Mangal says she went to get Kusum’s BP medicine, as it had run out. Kusum praises Mangal, noting that even in such a situation, Mangal is thinking about her. Mangal says she has also gone through a lot.
Suddenly, the family hears the sound of a band. Sowmya arrives at Adit’s house in a palanquin. She asks Adit to help her out of it.
Sowmya approaches Kusum and asks for her blessings. Kusum calls Sowmya a shameless woman. Sowmya tells Kusum that she is now married to Adit. Adit tries to speak, but Sowmya stops him. Mangal faints upon seeing Sowmya, and Lakshmi catches her.
Shanti confronts Sowmya and criticizes her. She then argues with Kusum, blaming her for the situation. Shanti reminds Kusum that she had told her the truth about Adit and Sowmya. Shanti says that because Kusum didn’t reveal the truth to Mangal and didn’t allow Shanti to do so either, they are now in this mess. Sudesh defends Kusum, saying she tried to fix things between Adit and Mangal, but Adit betrayed everyone, including his own parents. Mangal asks Kusum if she knew about Adit and Sowmya’s relationship beforehand. Mangal accuses Kusum of proving that she isn’t her real daughter by hiding the truth. Kusum insists that Mangal is more than a daughter to her, but Mangal retorts that if she were, Kusum wouldn’t have kept the truth from her. Mangal also criticizes Shanti for not telling her the truth, despite knowing it. Shanti tries to explain, but Mangal refuses to listen and walks away.
Lakshmi scolds Adit for his actions. Sowmya reminds Lakshmi that Adit is her husband and warns her not to speak ill of him. Karthik intervenes, telling Sowmya not to speak to his wife that way, and criticizes Adit for his behavior.
Mangal starts packing her bags. She looks at her mangalsutra and thinks of Adit.
