The episode starts with Gayatri on video call telling Kusum that they all are proud of Mangal’s brave act. She tells Mangal how much they are waiting for her felicitation. Karthik comes there. He sits beside Lakshmi and takes the phone from Gayatri and talks to Mangal. Gayatri feels unhappy seeing Karthik and Lakshmi’s closeness. Kusum asks Karthik to come to the felicitation ceremony.
In the evening, Mangal waits for Adit in the felicitation. Adit comes to the felicitation and tells everyone how much he is proud of Mangal. Anchor asks Adit to present medal to Mangal. Adit puts a medal on Mangal’s neck. Mangal comes out of her imagination. Mangal hears Akshat’s voice and rushes to him. He chooses a saree for Mangal and asks her to wear it for her felicitation.
Karthik asks Lakshmi to get ready so they can leave for felicitation. Sanjana mocks Gayatri telling her that Karthik is changing. Mangal and family wait for Adit to return home so they can leave for the venue. Mangal hears the calling bell sound and opens the door. Adit brings his Boss Tejpal and his wife home. He asks Mangal to prepare Indian dishes to his boss family. Tejpal sees Adit’s family are ready and asks if they created any trouble in their schedule. Adit assures him that his family got ready for their arrival. He makes Mangal lie to them.
Karthik helps Lakshmi to get ready. Lakshmi tells Karthik that she knew that he loved someone else. She asks him why he took good care of her. She asks him to not do anything in compulsion. Karthik assures her that whatever he is doing is with his heart and with their marriage she is part of his life. He says she accepted his past and he accepted her as friend. He requests her to give him some time to move on. Lakshmi agrees.
Kusum lashes out at Adit for inviting the boss to his home at exactly the same time as the felicitation ceremony. Adit tells Kusum how important it is to make his boss happy for his promotion. He says he will send the guests. He adds pressure on Mangal. Mangal stops Adit and tells him that his respect is more important to her than her medal.
