The episode starts with Mangal seeing the police arresting Neel. She asks what happened. The inspector asks who she is. Mangal says Neel is her son. Neel asks Mangal to save him. The inspector says Neel was playing cards and not going to school. Neel says, “Mom, I only watched the card game. I didn’t play. Please trust me.” Mangal requests the inspector to release Neel and promises that she will take care of him.
Sowmya tells the Pehla Swad workers not to worry and says that even if Mangal doesn’t win, she will win as they are from the same family. The ladies say they know Mangal will definitely come on time. Everyone waits for the power to return. The inspector releases Neel, warning him not to repeat his mistake.
Mangal asks Neel why he didn’t go to school. Neel says he is not interested in studies and wants to live life his own way. Mangal says if he wants to live for himself, he can go with the police, and she calls them. Neel pleads with her not to do that. Mangal says he has the chance to change and must choose—school or jail. Neel agrees to go to school. The inspector asks Mangal what the issue is, but she says it’s nothing and sends him away.
The power comes back. The anchor apologises for the power glitch. Sowmya hopes the competition ends before Mangal arrives. The anchor asks Sowmya to introduce herself. She does and says she has many ideas for Pehla Swad. Mangal arrives and joins her team. The anchor asks Sowmya to present her ideas to the judges. Sowmya says she wants to change the name of Pehla Swad as the brand’s reputation is ruined. She explains her planning, and everyone claps. Sowmya then trips, and the anchor checks if she is fine. Sowmya says she is.
The anchor announces Mangal’s round and asks her to come on stage. Mangal receives a call from the principal and learns that Neel got admission. She feels happy and says she will pay his fees soon.
Mangal says mothers’ goodness can never be forgotten, and that is why this brand name is unique. She tells the judges that she wants to restore Pehla Swad’s glory and does not want to change its name, as she believes the women working here can make it number one again. Everyone claps at her speech. One of the judges says words aren’t enough; they need innovative ideas too. Sowmya agrees and says she has creative ideas unlike Mangal. She shows the judges a new dehydrated machine and says it is useful. One judge says Pehla Swad already has this technology and that it is not a new idea. She advises Sowmya to think of something fresh. Sowmya is shocked.
The anchor says contestants must impress the judges with new ideas if they want to win the competition. Sowmya calls someone and urgently asks them to meet her, then leaves in a hurry. Mangal thinks something is definitely going on in Sowmya’s mind.
