The episode starts with Kusum ousting Adit and Sowmya from the house and closing the main door. Kusum breaks down. Mangal hugs Kusum and asks why she made this decision. Kusum says she should have done it earlier and regrets hiding the truth from her and now, whatever she did is correct.
Adit reflects on everything. Sowmya packs Adit’s luggage, which falls on the floor. She instigates Adit against his family, saying she loves him and that his family and kids don’t care about him. Ishana comes home at that moment and calls for Adit. Adit sees her.
Lakshmi tries to console Mangal. Mangal says she is unable to see her future and never expected Adit would cheat on her. Karthik and Lakshmi console Mangal, telling her that she can manage things with time. Mangal says she doesn’t understand how to make the kids understand the situation. She cries, and Karthik and Lakshmi hug her.
Ishana asks Adit where he is going. She asks Sowmya what she is doing at their place after her marriage. Sowmya asks her to speak to her with respect and says she is Adit’s wife. Ishana shouts Mangal’s name, and everyone hears her voice. Ishana tells Adit that Sowmya is not good. She tells Sowmya to stop lying and says Mangal is his father’s wife. She asks Adit to come with her, but he stops her. Ishana asks if Sowmya’s words are true. Adit tells her that he is always a father to her and Akshat. Ishana leaves him in tears. Adit tries to go after her, but Sowmya stops him and takes him away.
Mangal opens the door. Ishana enters the house in tears. Akshat asks her why she shouted. Ishana lies that she saw a lizard outside. Akshat says Dad is a superhero and will protect them. He asks Mangal about Adit. Ishana lies to Akshat that Adit went on a business trip and sends him to sleep. Ishana hugs Mangal and tells her that Dad left them, but she will never leave her. Mangal apologizes to Ishana for putting them through this phase. Ishana says it’s Dad’s mistake, not hers. She asks if she broke her fast. Mangal says she will do it and sends her to freshen up. Mangal tells Kusum that Adit left her, not her family and children. Kusum agrees. Adit says Mangal is strong and will handle everything. He asks Lakshmi to stay with Mangal and says he will leave. Mangal asks Karthik to take Lakshmi with him. Lakshmi asks Mangal to take care of herself.
Sowmya takes Adit to the apartment she rented for them. She says she doubted his family would accept them, so she booked this apartment and decorated it. Adit thinks of Kusum’s words. He tells her that he is tired and goes to sleep. Sowmya thinks to make Adit forget his family. Mangal misses Adit. The kids come to Mangal and tell her they came to sleep with her. The kids make Mangal feel better. Akshat tells Mangal that he is missing Dad. Ishana controls her tears.
The next day, Mangal accidentally drops the coffee cup she prepared for Adit. On the other side, Adit wakes up asking Mangal to give him coffee. Sowmya splashes water on his face. Adit asks why she did that. She questions why he took Mangal’s name. He says it’s his habit after all these years. Kusum comes to the kitchen and asks Mangal what happened. Mangal says she is preparing coffee for Adit, but the cup slipped. She realizes Adit left her.
